Mitt Romney is expected to formally announce his presidential run on the 8th of January, according to Hotline:

Top donors and prominent supporters of Gov. Mitt Romney have been told to expect a formal announcement of his presidential candidacy on the 8th of January. They’ve also been warned that the date could change. (Hotline sources).

This does seem to conflict somewhat with another report?from earlier this week that indicated he would go the “exploratory committee” route.? Either way, we should begin to see some official movement from the Romney camp at the beginning of next year.
