Earlier this week, Alabama Representative Mike Rogers announced he would be endorsing, and joining, the Romney campaign. Two days later, we have two more announcements from Alabama Congressmen.
Rep Spencer Bachus will be joining McCain’s campaign as an Advisor and the SE Co-Chair of the Exploratory Committee, and Rep Terry Everett announced he is endorsing Duncan Hunter for President.
For anyone keeping track, Alabama has seven GOP Representatives, so that leaves four of them up for grabs. The flurry to attract endorsements from Alabama comes as a result of that state moving its primary up to February 5 – the new “National Primary” date right after the triumverate of IA, NH, and SC.

Anyone know a site out there that keeps a running tally of who endorses whom? I’d be interested to see one, (although, honestly, not interested enough to create it myself).

Great question, jake… I haven’t been able to find anything, so maybe we will start keeping track here. I’ll see if I can round up all the names and get something posted.

HeavyM. . .thanks. I realize endorsements only help to s small extent, especially this early. But it might be helpful to see who supports whom to answer some of what’s been discussed recently regarding, for example, conservative support for Rudy, Evangelical support for Romney, etc. It’s one thing to say Rudy is a conservative, but if no one in that wing of the party gives him their endorsement it really doesn’t mean anything. (That’s not picking on Rudy, that was just an example!!)

HeavyM, that would be great. I’m getting awfully tired of geeking out on poll numbers.
