You simply have to check out Patrick Ruffini’s newest creation, the 2008 Wire Video Wall. It has to be seen to be believed.
Patrick explains it this way:
Launched just in time for tonight’s Republican debate, the videowall aggregates all the latest YouTube videos about the ‘08 candidates in a full screen total immersion experience. I’ve found it very useful in tracking down debate clips, anonymous oppo hits, and other cool stuff I’ve missed. Voter generated content is mixed in with media clips and official candidate videos to provide a 360 degree view of the campaign.
I built it by running Google Video feeds through Yahoo Pipes and plugging it into the Wire’s engine. This also means that video stories are now fully integrated into a rebuilt 2008 Wire, denoted by a little YouTube icon.
If you are as obsessed with 2008 as I am, this is hands-down the coolest innovation to help aggregate information on that subject yet.
