McCain: A Cornered Cat

McCain it appears has come to the realization that his camp is a sinking ship. With this pretty amazing attacking press release paid for by his campaign and the following YouTube, McCain does the impossible: Brings is Campaigning and his Opposition Research to a new all-time low.

Of course if McCain had an interest in the truth rather than trying to save himself by destroying others he might have posted this:

But hey, McCain is on the Straight Talk Express, not the “Be Honest Express.”

Team Romney had this statement as well:

“Governor Romney is firmly pro-life and can rely on his record of having protected the sanctity of life when faced with those issues as governor. Governor Romney consistently maintained, in an effort to protect the sanctity of life, that he would fight attempts to weaken the state’s existing abortion laws. Maintaining existing laws in a state like Massachusetts was an important fight in and of itself. It’s very troubling that the McCain campaign would attack the governor’s pro-life stance by trying to alter the context of a statement made at a news conference where he also made a passionate case for his veto of stem cell legislation that showed a level of disregard for the sanctity of human life. The McCain campaign’s motives are obviously borne of desperation. Their actions are both sad and unfortunate.”

OK, now that I am done ripping on McCain’s desperate attacks I want to say I don’t think McCain is done. He’s just in a desperate mode right now, and his campaign made a dumb mistake. It’s too easy to refute. Even though McCai’s numbers are sinking and his fundraising is low, with Fred taking his second place spot in national polls, it’s a long campaign where no one nows what’s going to happen.

The second video has poor audio quality. I’m assuming there’s nothing that can be done about that?

  2. KT Says:

The media is painting McCain as desperate and nasty, but what he says about Romney is 100 per cent TRUE. The guy is a FAKE. PERIOD.

    KT,

Did you watch the second video?

McCain’s camp is lying. Plain and simple.

In my view, the second statement is more damning than the first. In the first, he stated that he would remain true to a pledge that he made during the campaign. The second stated his support for using “surplus” embryos for embryonic stem-cell research. Conventions establish after the Nuremberg said that human beings, as even “surplus” embryos are, cannot be used for medical research without their consent. It is wrong to create “surplus” embryos only for them to be discarded later artificially.

Some would argue that many embryos created naturally die naturally without being implanted. Natural, though, is the key. Natural death is part of life. Life must not be created as a play thing, and supporting the use of nonconsenting human beings for medical research violates the human dignity of those embryos.
