Thompson hooks a doozy

This just might be one of the biggest catches of all! Tonight in an interview on the Dennis Miller Show, the Motor City Madman, himself, had this to say about the GOP Candidates:

Dennis Miller: “What do you think of Rudy? I’m a Rudy guy. What do you think of him?”

The Nuge: “I agree that Rudy has great positive credentials and he has great leadership capabilities that he has displayed like a warrior on that fateful day of September of ‘01, but I am not an endorser of Rudy Giuliani. On a number of issues, primarily the gun control issue, he has really turned his back on the Second Amendment over the years. I really like Mike Hukabee and Tommy Thompson. I admire Mitt Romney. I admire John McCain. But to whittle it down right now I really have the Nugent spotlight, and I’ve been scrutinizing Mr. Fred Thompson. I think he glows a little bit more than those other great gentlemen.”

Nugent has spoken….

Doesn’t get much better than Sweaty Uncle Teddy!

Perhaps Nugent could take Mitt “big” game hunting. He’d have to upgrade Mitt’s varmint gun but it sure would help with appealing to the NRA.

For that matter the same could be done with gun-control Rudy.

Speaking of which why not have all the candidates go big game hunting with the Nuge?

  4. FredHeads USA Says:

This is excellent! The Nuge is absolutely right. There are several good men in the race.

Unfortunately for the rest of them, there can be only ONE Fred Thompson.

    Go Fred!!!

  5. fredo Says:

Not a Fred guy, but I’ll have to reconsider now. ;)

  6. JA Pruce Says:

I would like to see Fred Thompson, Ted Nugent and Margaret Thatcher hit the 08 trail in Fred’s Red Truck — that trio would be some ticket on a campaign stop.

  7. KT Says:

ofcourse he “glows” more …. he’s an actor!

  8. SGS Says:

Pardon me, but I have no idea who “The Nuge” is (I am assuming he is one of those celebrities available only on cable). Why is his endorement important?

  9. SGS Says:

And did he share any specifications on why he is endoring Fred?

  10. econ grad stud Says:

    SGS, you’re deaf, right?
Ted Nugent is a musician who hunts big game.

  11. Tommy Oliver Says:

Big voice in the NRA type conservation/game groups. Rocker to the core.

  12. troy Says:

If the Nuge likes Fred, that means the Libs will hate him. And that means Hes the right man for the job. Go Fred.

  13. Milwaukee Mike Says:

When Fred becomes Prez, Ted can be appointed “Boarder Czar”….”Let’s go huntin’ baby!”
