No, I don’t think Edwards will drop out. I didn’t think Edwards would’ve dropped out if he didn’t. Edwards’ problem would be the moderate platform that he used as a senator is pretty much gone. He’s drifted so far to the left, I don’t know if he could recover.
so you can see edwards in this race untill The end of prmiamies and DNC convention ?. And What about will he have enough in campaign cash box to compete ?.
It all depends if the base unites around him. If he can beat Hillary, then yes, he would be able to compete, as long as the Clinton machine didn’t hold a grudge. The Democrat ticket could actually be even more complicated than ours because, in effect, they have an established frontrunner in the same vein that Bush was the established frontrunner in 2000 for the Republicans.
To compare to the top two, yes it is low. It’s not going to be easy for him under the circumstances, but the fact that he met his goal will give him positive press, which usually follows with more interest in his campaign, and then that leads to higher donations. Also, if he is not spending the amount of cash that the other candidates are spending, then he will have more to challenge later.
so he’s like the only one on the democrats side that could derail the hillary tain to their convention? Are you affaid if he’s #1 on Dems ticket with our chances on the gop side in the general election?
I’m not as worried about the Democrat ticket as some who contribute here are, at this point, because those things will take care of themselves, when the time comes. Gore worries me, but I think Edwards would be a better candidate than Hillary as well. I just don’t know if he can do it nationally though. I’m a southerner, and I don’t like to talk down about on other southerners because a lot of us grew up in similar circumstances, but I really don’t know if Edwards will play on the national stage because of his connection to Glover, and raising taxes, which is never a popular thing to do.
Edwards drifted toward left because that is where most of the voice comes from. Would Rudy do the same, because he did say he want to enlarge the tent, and there is no loud voice in the middle?
I don’t know what Rudy would do. I tend to believe that most candidates are telling the truth, from their point of view, except Hillary “Dennis Rodham” Clinton. I try to see the good in the candidates, and maybe it’s because I spent time doing so much research and come across so many attacks by fringe groups that I tend to become a little sickened by them. When Paul supporters, especially, try to build their candidate up by drawing out some whacky one world conspiracy theory, it tends to make me close minded against their guy, instead of giving him a look.
I think Rudy believes what he says, but what does that mean to the rest of us?
Oh boy, Edwards topped his measly goal of 9 million dollars. I think Gravel should also beat expectations, after his first-quarter five hundred dollars.

so he’s not on the top of your 08 list of 1st presidential canidates to drop out of 08 race?

Greg,
No, I think Edwards will not drop out. I think he will likely go through the full primaries.

The problem for Edwards is not that he “only” raise $9 million, it’s that Richardson raised $7 million.

Good, the longer he stays in it the longer he can criticize Clinton and Obama.
