Rudy Giuliani
- Giuliani Concentrates on the Jan. 3 Caucuses
Senator Grassley, who has yet to endorse any of the candidates: “Giuliani is putting increased emphasis on Iowa, and he is getting good, solid Republican support. I’ve seen evidence of them spending more time in Iowa. I’ve seen evidence of him getting people enthused: I’ve had calls from Giuliani supporters in Iowa – and these have been supporters of mine – that they would like me to get involved with him.”

Three important storylines. First, the anti-mormon calls scandal has ensnared Rudy, Romney and McCain, but the press finds it hard to believe its McCain. They find it easier to believe Romney did it himself, which is an issue that deserves separate attention.
Second, Giuliani’s road to the white house seems to get easier and more complicated at the same time. He gets a pass from the pedophiles in the catholic church, but some of the scum from his days as mayor keep floating to the surface. There are hints that Giuliani in the white house will make Slick Willy’s tenure look like Camelot. The media loves this story.
Finally, debate-gate. Many viewers (Drudge is reporting over 4 million watched) of the CNN democratic debate considered the audience and the moderators to be pro-Clinton. There is now concrete evidence of this. The UNLV student who asked Clinton whether she preferred diamonds or pearls writes on her myspace page that CNN forced her to ask Clinton that question instead of her preferred question about nuclear waste. The student has been attacked by classmates claiming she impugned UNLV with a stupid question.
Its not news that questions are screened, but CNN showed poor judgment and bias by deliberately offering Clinton a softball to show her in a favorable light. Fox and O’Reilly are going to be all over this, and rightfully so.

I don’t really think its McCain, I think Giuliani or Huckabee are the more likely candidates.

If people are arguing that Rudy and McCain are too smart to do this, then how can they argue that possible Romney did it to himself? I mean, Romney has had so much positive momentum and investment into his campaign and doing this would be suicide. Doesn’t make any sense.
I think it must be a 527 (I don’t think any campaign is dumb enough to do this . . . at least I HOPE so) . . . but whoever has some affiliation/ties/donations from this 527 could be hurt just by association.
