Interestingly, if you look at the popular vote for Iowa, New Hampshire, and Michigan, it works out to this.
Romney 36.89%
McCain 30.10%
Huckabee 17.26%
Ron Paul 7.04%
Thompson 4.24%
Giuliani 4.10%
Hunter 0.38%
I believe it’s going to come down to a McCain/Romney race.

For fun, compare the descriptions of the Democrat candidates to the ones for the Republicans.

It’s become clear to me that Romney will lead in delegate count going into the Feburary 5th super primary unless McCain really takes off.

#1: Michigan’s voting population dominated Iowa and New Hampshire combined, which gives Romney such a strong lead. But he was essentially tied goin in, so I think your point still holds.
I like the Jay Cost article on McCain. Good analysis on why McCain surprised pundits with his comeback. I think Fournier’s article on Romney (Authenticity lost) is hilarious. Is he saying Romney had authenticity before? I’d be willing to accept that, but I doubt he would.
“The Mormon the Merrier” is the worst pun title. Couldn’t they do another Mitt joke, like “Michigan’s choice for governMitt” or “Romney bursts from the Mittle of the pack to take gold in Michigan”. Heck, I’d even take Mittmentum.

From the first Romeny article: “Unlike Iowa or New Hampshire, Romney did not air any TV ads attacking his rivals in Michigan, but he vastly outspent them.” I thought he and McCain were about even on spending in Michigan?

The coverage here is pretty biased as most of the “romney” titles have an anti-Romney slant to them. Maybe its just Aron like normal or perhaps it is McCain’s base(the MSM) showing how upset they are over his loss.

Mcon…….
I have noticed that for a while……

It’s true, Mcon. Not only that, but Aron frequently editorializes the Romney article comments to make them worse. In fact, I recall once where there wasn’t even an article…just Aron’s attack comments.
Aron always deflects criticism over the bias by saying we’re free to send him articles and he’ll put them in the next daily reads. But this is now the third time I’ve asked him to link to “The Giuliani Implosion” article to no avail.

Murphy, thanks for the link. At first it sounds like more useless pundit pontification, but the second page really lays out the numbers of just how badly Giuliani lost in Iowa and NH.

Murphy,
What I have said repeatedly is:
If you happen to find a favorably written news article on Romney that does not appear in the Essential Reads, please provide a link here in the comments section and it will be promptly added.

Ohhhhhh…Aron, I had completely misunderstood you.
Given how often you manage to sift out the anti-Romney press, I had thought you were open to pro- and con- articles on ALL the candidates. Silly me, I guess.
