Maybe nominating McCain wasn’t such a bad idea after all

Jonathan: I can’t think of anyone better to run against a parishoner of Mr. “God Damn America” than a decorated Vietnam veteran Prisoner of War. Quite a contrast, no?

I used to like him, but now I’m not too sure about McCain’s handling of the war on terror.

Did you see where Huckabee defended both Obama and Wright? Interesting.

Obama is in big trouble and I think it’s 50-50 at best now that he ends up the nominee.
If there’s any figleaf at all for the supers to give it to Hillary they will.
30% of the white vote in OH and what is sure to be a similar # in PA is toxic. 30% of the Hispanic vote in CA, TX and FL will be frightening to many supers.
I look for Hillary to emerge from PA with around a 15 pt win, at which point the talk will turn to how best to get Obama to step aside

BTW,
It’s been hilarious reading pro-Clinton blogs the past couple weeks.
The bloggers there are far bigger critics of Obama than any conservatives I’ve seen.
It’s amusing to read their posts praising Pat Buchanan’s appearances on MSNBC, and thanking guys like Hannity and O’Reilly for keeping the Wright story alive. Tonight they were actually eagerly awaiting and then enthusiastically dissecting Karl Rove’s appearance on FOX with one of them saying “Thank God for The Architect”.
They actually make some of the more cogent arguments against Obama and based on what I’ve read the % of Clinton supporters who’d vote for Obama ranges from 0 to somewhere between 2 and 3.
A big Clinton win in PA will only take this to a whole new level. Especially when he does as bad among whites as he did in OH. Then the soup really hits the fan and the fun begins. How does the party toss Obama overboard without coming apart at the seams?
All I can say is I’m looking forward to May Sweeps.
