This just proves that liberals like McCain do well in liberal states.

alex, perhaps you missed the recent polls from red states where enjoyed 20 point lead. on the other hand, i think you’re just being disingenuous.

It also means that with Mitt on the ticket, we will win Michigan by a significant margin.

Well, Sampo, I see you’re still fighting mental health. This poll was taken months ago, and by Survey USA, the quintessential incompetent polling firm. In real life, Romney cruised to a massive victory in Michigan and won the support of a lot of Democrats and Independents while doing so. To refresh your defective memory, McCain and Huckabee both contested the state with all their might in a completely open primary with no contest among the Democrats. If Romney were on the ticket, McCain could carry the state, and based on his last effort there, it’s obvious that he needs the help.

Sampo,
I see you’re still fighting mental health. The Michigan primary was completely open, with no contest on the Democrat side. McCain and Huckabee tried their hardest and Mitt won in a landslide, with the help of a lot of independents and Democrats. Citing a poll done by an incompetent firm months ago is hardly a refutation of Illinoisguy’s prescient point.

Were do I start?
Alex:
Michigan is not the most Liberal state in the country.
Illinoisguy:
Primary victories (or loses) don’t always translate into general election victories (or loses.) For example, Mr. Bush lost New Hampshire in the primary, but won the general in 2000.
Sampo:
This is a Washington poll, no a Michigan poll that you showed.
Dave:
Survey USA is not the best polling company, not it is still much better than Zogby & ARG. Of course the poll is a month old. Do you think that they will keep doing such polls?
Sorry to hack off everybody, but that is how I see this post.
