Speaking to US Weekly, Heidi Montag, the star of the TV show The Hills, say that she’s a McCain Girl:
“I’m voting for John McCain,” she tells Us Weekly in its latest issue, on newsstands now.
“I’m a Republican and McCain has a lot of experience,” she explains.
Ana Marie Cox managed to get McCain to respond to this coveted endorsement after a campaign stop in Florida yesterday:
“I’m honored to have Heidi’s support and I want to assure her that I never miss an episode of ‘The Hills,’ especially since the new season started.”
Hah. Way to go after the youth vote, John!

This is being played up pretty heavy in the celebrity gossip blogs that universally detest Montag and are using it against McCain. Odd, since the celebrity world has never been short of shallow, surgically enhanced bimbos who vote Democrat.

I somewhat resent this remark because it defines my younger sibling, but then I am not sure she actually votes.

What does it mean that I have never heard of either Heidi Montag or “The Hills”?
