I like the numbers vs. Obama. It appears that with just the Wright amount of exposure, Obama is going to have big problems (pun intended) on the issue of Obama’s character — (why would he sit there listening to that stuff for 20 years if he found it “outrageous”?). With the Wright controversy likely to dog Obama the rest of the way, the Dems may be selecting a fatally flawed candidate. Therefore, I must confess, I am mistified by the number of superdelegates that have flocked to Obama in recent days.

First, Terry, very clever pun!
Second of all, it’s my impression that the Dems are not too smart. They go by their feelings, not by their logic.

I hope these numbers are real. Maybe it will help lift Sununu.

I think Sununu is probably too far behind.

I don’t quite know how to explain the Sununu thing. It might actually be more of a pro-Shaheen vote than an anti-Sununu. I am pleased that NH is becoming more Republican in the Presidential race now. I think a 10 point win is enough to lift Sununu though. We did get rid of the straight ticket in the last two years though. Another problem for Sununu is that the Governor’s race is right above the Senate race, and Lynch (D) is expected to win handily. The key will be whether moderate McCain/Lynch voters go back to the Republican column for Sununu or if they just cast one vote for McCain and then Democratic for everything else.

Let’s hope Sununu can use this to hopefully pull off a miracle. At this point in 2006 the GOP wasn’t going to lose all the states they did either.

I wonder if these numbers get better with Mitt on the ticket?

These numbers would get better with Mitt on the ticket. He is very popular in New Hampshire.
