How else do you explain the complete lack of coverage regarding a candidate knowingly and repeatedly making false statements regarding the military service of a family member:
Obama also spoke about his uncle, who was part of the American brigade that helped to liberate Auschwitz. He said the family legend is that, upon returning from war, his uncle spent six months in an attic.
The only problem, of course, is that anyone who has ever watched the History Chanel for more than 5 minutes knows that American troops did not liberate Auschwitz. Soviet Troops liberated the death camp on January 27, 1945. American soldiers did not enter it until after the war had concluded. This is not the first time that Obama has claimed that his uncle had a role in the liberation of Auschwitz, either.
Ask yourself what the MSM’s reaction would be if Sen. McCain was repeatedly making false statements regarding his son’s service in Iraq. Or his father and grandfather’s performance in WWII?
Think back to the media’s treatment of Dan Quayle. With Obama’s verbal gaffes set to eclipse Quayle’s at any moment, we have yet to hear a single peep from the MSM regarding the fitness of someone to serve as CiC who believes there are 57 states like we did with Quayle.

Hey Kavon, i was just checking some of the new’s stories for today and ran across this from CNN, is there anyway we can get a look at the commercials that he’s running in these states? Also this is a very good move by McCain IMO.
CNN) — John McCain is launching a television ad in the crucial swing states of Michigan and Pennsylvania Wednesday, the latest sign the Arizona senator is gearing up his general election campaign.
The ad, called “Accountable,” previously ran in Iowa and promotes the Arizona senator’s pledge to lower taxes, make healthcare more affordable, and solve the country’s energy problems.
McCain’s decision to extend the ad into the more expensive media markets of Michigan and Pennsylvania is the Arizona senator’s first shot of the general election campaign, said Evan Tracey of TNS Media Intelligence/Campaign Media Analysis Group.
“The fact that he’s expanding into these states is a clear signal that both the general election has begun and fundraising has fattened his campaign accounts,” Tracey said.
The McCain campaign is also looking to capitalize on Obama’s 9 point primary defeat in Pennsylvania and the little attention the Illinois senator has so far devoted to Michigan. (Obama removed his name from the primary ballot there after the state violated party rules by holding its contest early.)
“What you’re seeing is McCain turning up the volume in states that Hillary Clinton won, and clearly trying to capitalize on any negative momentum for Obama in those places,” Tracey also said.

Here is the link to the new Ad in case anyone is interested, but one thing that i noticed in the ad is that at the 25 second mark it shows McCain shaking hands with an African American lady wearing an Obama shirt, i thought that was interesting.

Just for the record, Geraldine Ferraro is ready to vote for McCain over Obama. I would love to see if more high profile Clinton supporters begin to follow her lead.

How many crazy uncles in the attic does one guy get?

The thing is that the larger point, that his grandfather served in WWII, is true. Obama getting the smaller details wrong about what his grandfather did and did not do isn’t some disqualifier – similar to Mitt Romney and MLK.

It was Burkenwald, not Aushwitz. Not a major error is it? A bit like McCain getting his Sunni & Shi-ite mixed up, which the media graciously chose not to highlight…

wow. If this is the best the RNC can do, then we’re pretty sad. Big freekin deal, he said Auschwitz instead of Buchenwald. My uncle was in both camps. . .One was no better than the other.
Can’t we debate actual issues for a change?

As it turns out, Senator Obama’s maternal grandmother had a brother who served in the U.S. Army in the European theater during the war.
Of course, I am not surprised that the media did not call out Obama on this gaffe. That is the bigger deal.
