According to various sources, the following 14 Superdelegates have endorsed Barack Obama so far today (with many more expected):
Rep. John Olver (D-MA)
Debra Kozikowski (DNC-MA)
Rep. Jerry McNerney (D-CA)
Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick (D-Detroit)
State Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-OH)
Jennifer DeChant (DNC-ME)
Fred McDowell (D-FL)
Debbie Dingell (DNC-MI)
Rick Wiener (DNC-MI)
Rep. John Spratt (D-SC)
Ralph Dawson (D-NY)
Tim Moore (D-SC)
Rep. Carolyn Kilpatrick (D-MI)
Jimmy Carter (D - Hezbollah)
You almost get the feeling the Obama camp was sitting on these endorsements just for today… this thing will be over regardless of who wins and regardless of what Hillary says in her speech in New York.
UPDATE: Holy crap, Obama kept a lot of these SD’s up his sleeve for this last day. Added in the last hour and a half:
That brings the remarkable total to 36 so far today, with many more expected after the polls close tonight — including the five remaining uncommitted Montana SD’s who said they will all endorse whoever wins their state. I’ve got to hand it to Obama, he strategized the ending of this thing pretty well. Now he gets to officially announce he received enough delegates by winning them in tonight’s primaries instead of by winning over the party elite - a small, but meaningful difference.

I DO think it’s funny to point out who former Presidents hang out with, but I thought he wasn’t going to officially endorse until after the last primary. Guess all his kids and grandkids talked him into an early endorsement…

OK, here’s the question: does BHO get a “bounce” out of this week? And if so, how much? That will basically serve as the baseline for the summer heading into the conventions.
I myself predict a 4-point bounce, and a steady 4-point BHO lead (along the lines of 48-44) into August.

David, at first I thought that would be a “no, he’s been considered the nominee for months now,” but I’m starting to think he WILL get a bounce. I predict more like an 8 point bounce, but one that fades by around 5 point (net of 3 point increase). Likewise, if he picks Sen Clinton for VP, I’d expect a (loudly trumpeted, with prophecies of inevitability by the MSM) bounce of around 10-12 MORE points, most or all of which would fade before the election.

yes. The years of hugh bounces (10-15%) all over. Neither McCain or Obama will get huge bounces out of the convention neither.

Jimmy Carter (D - Hezbollah)
Hilarious Matt!!

I’m still not convinced that this is the final round. I think the Clintons have one last card up their sleaves. What it is, I have no idea, but Bob Beckel said it would come out in a day or two. Whether it is the “video” or not, I think there is one more round to go.

haha Kwame Kilpatrick is a SD, classic

Is Elliot Spitzer a SD?
June 3rd, 2008 at 4:28 pm
I think Spitzer got his Super-delegate credentials pulled from him when he was caught pulling down his pants.

Phil for VP?
June 3rd, 2008 at 6:00 pm
Welcome Obama to HRC undercutting you any way she can the next 6 months. Already we have, “I would be open to the VP slot.” Read - “If you don’t cowtow to my every whim, I will be your worst nightmare.” I thought blackmail is illegal in this country but we are going to see it on a grand scale.

Exit polls have Hillary with at least a double digit win in South Dakota, which will be announced at leat an hour ahead of Obama’s win in MT.
Can’t wait to see how Olbermann and Matthews try to ignore it.
South Dakota is the first state that Obamas lost where he was projected to win and everyone expected he would.
It also really calls into question the accuracy of some of his huge wins in caucuses in states near SD. Such as his 24 pt win in ND, his 36 pt win in NE, his 34 pt win in MN, his 36 pt win in CO, etc… If they had primaries in those states, I bet he’d have a lost some or the results would been much, much closer, see his barely there 3 pt win over Clinton in the NE primary a couple weeks ago.
Since Feb 19th Clinton has won in RI, OH, TX, PA, IN, WV, KY, PR and SD. Obama has won in VT, WY, MS, NC, OR and MT.
Since the whole Wright story broke, Clinton has clearly beaten him and is clearly the better general candidate.
If I’m her, I stay in it till the convention…things have clearly changed

Yes, Obama did wrap the ending of the nomination up very neatly. His timing was superb.
