  • John McCain 43% (47%)

Favorable / Unfavorable (Net)

  • John McCain 60% / 37% (+23%)
  • Barack Obama 55% / 43% (+12%)

Survey of 500 likely voters was conducted June 5. The margin of error is +/- 4 percentage points. Results from the poll conducted May 5 are in parentheses.

    Rasmussen is pretty trustworthy come the General Election and McCain will be ok if he can stay within a few points in Wisconsin throughout the summer

    If Obama takes Colorado and NM - McCain may just need Wisconsin in addition to Ohio.

    It worries me that McCain has, almost without exception, had higher favorables then either Democrat, but never manages to top 45-47% in polls. That suggests that either lots of people who like McCain simply aren’t willing to vote Republican, or lots of people who dislike Obama are still willing to vote Democratic, or McCain’s “liked” by lots of people who “love” Obama (which is, of course, useless to us).

    Wisconsin is an important swing state. A social Conservative on the ticket may just help move the state Red.
