Brilliant ad! Sums up Obama’s schizophrenic postion on Iraq very nicely. Probelm is, if Iraq contines to improve, instead if McCain getting any credit; the subject will simply change to domestic issues making McCain’s strongest campaign issue irrelevant (in a political sense).
In addition, the fact that Obama was on every side of the Iraq issue will also become irrelevant becasue voters are looking for
any opportunity NOT to vote for the Republican. National Security is McCain’s saving grace and if it’s not the concern to the
American people anymore, they will turn to the Democrat on economic issues. They’re certainly not going to turn to the military
guy when Wall Street is collapsing.
Brilliant ad.
On the contrary, what this shows is that Obama is all over the place on his positions, depending on what serves him best at the moment.
He has no core beliefs.
He is not the post-racial, post-typical-politician he claimed during the primaries.
Truth: He’s just another corrupt, opportunistic Chicago-style politician.
Since most Arabs in Jerusalem wish to remain in Jerusalem, I don’t see why dividing Jerusalem is even an issue.
Most Israeli Arabs know that they’re better off living under Israeli authority than under Hezbollah or Hamas. Avidor Lieberman’s proposals receive the most opposition from Israeli Arabs.
I think that’s why most Israeli Arab parties are socialist/communist not Islamic.
Alan Colmes asked Michael Steele: Would electing Barack Obama be good, in general, for African-Americans?
Michael Steele said: “That remains to be seen.”
Then Al Sharpton chimed in twice, “It would be good for ALL Americans. It would be good for all Americans.”
Then Alan and Al started talking over Michael Steele and cut him off and then Michael Steele agreed that it would be good for all Americans, but I saw it in the context that in order to heal the racial tension in our country, it would be good to have an African American President, whoever that may be.
Michael was really not allowed to finish his thought.
Alan then said to Michael Steele that now they had him on tape saying it would be good for all Americans to have Barack Obama as president and you could see Michael Steele’s frustration.
As usual, the big-mouth Alan Colmes interrupted his guests.
This is the most annoying thing about Hannity and Colmes. Also, it doesn’t help that Alan looks like the twin brother of Count Dracula.
I may be wrong in how I saw this interview. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
The exchange I cited begins with 44 seconds remaining in the clip.

It looks like Michael Steele initially responded with, “It remains to be seen,” in answer to Alan’s question: “Would electing BO be good, in general, for African Americans.”
This was followed by Al Sharpton chiming in with “It would be good for ALL Americans, It would be good for ALL Americans.”
Then it was mixed in with Alan Colmes’ annoying and typical interruptions.
Followed by Michael Steele saying, “It would be good for ALL Americans.” (From the context of it being good for race relations in America to have a Black President, whoever that may be.)
Followed by Alan Colmes gleefully saying that now they had Michael Steele on tape saying, “It would be good for ALL Americans (for BHO to be president).”
Followed by Michael Steele looking frustrated by the whole confused conversation.
In short, Michael was never allowed to finish his original thought.

One of the reasons I detest the Hannity and Colmes show is because Alan is always interrupting the guests in a smarmy, sniveling kind of way and he looks like Dracula’s twin brother or something that just climbed out of a Transylvania graveyard.
Its obvious that is not what Michael Steele meant to convey. He immediately began to deny it as soon as they started reminding him of what he just said.
#18 - IL Guy - Exactly! It looks like he repeated what Al Sharpton said (It would be good for all Americans.) so he could try and move on to what he was trying to say and never got the opportunity to say.

Michael Steele: It would be good for all Americans.

This could be clipped into a brilliant and defining TV ad. I hope Team McCain doesn’t drop the ball on this. This is possibly their big chance.
