Rick Warren appeared on Fox News and called the Obama Camp’s claims of cheating on the part of Sen. McCain “bogus”:
You’d think the Obama campaign would be smart enough to understand that impugning the intergrity of Rev. Warren’s forum is only going to magnify the impact of Obama’s poor performance on Saturday night.

Did you also see Luntz’s idea that McCain do away with a teleprompter for his speech at the convention?
He thinks McCain should turn it into a townhall and after speaking for a bit that he should then take questions from delegates.
I have to say that townhall McCain will come across much, much better than teleprompter McCain, especially because it will help draw favorable comparisons to Obama’s teleprompter speech in front of 73,000.
McCain will come across as more in touch with regular people and better able to handle America’s problems.

Rush spoke about this quite a bit today. He made the point that it was real bad for Obama so they are trying to say the reason McCain looked good was because he had more time to think about the questions. Totally bogus.

I saw luntz’s comments, it’s an interesting idea, has some merit but I just can see giving up 30m of prime time speech time for a townhall with 100% GOP audience, not to mention the risk factor. Perhaps a shorter speech with taking questions after the fact. Don’t see it happening; these things are played as scripted and as safe as possible.

crap - meant “can’T see giving up…”

forgot where I heard this, but McCain should call Barack on his sour grapes and offer to do some more town hall meetings just to rub it in

Colmes was rather pathetic later in the show when it came to the born alive bill. Apparently he missed the bulletin that Obama admitted lying through his teeth about the bill not having abortion neutral language like the federal version.
After Ann Coulter slapped him down he went into a standard “between a woman and her doctor” defense. Which I’m sure we all agree is inapplicable here.
