If McCain would select Romney, I bet we could carry this state.
A lot of Conservative radio talk show hosts live in Maryland.

not bad, I actually thought Maryland would be Obama’s best state, given the black and yuppie populations

Jeff, they caught Obama lying. WOW!

Within ten? Good grief. Obama’s in huge trouble.

AP;
“Democrats privately and publicly are questioning whether Obama has a second act beyond his message of change and wondering whether he can throw an effective punch against a Republican Party willing to play hardball.”

What’s surprising to me is that with leaners, Obama’s percentage remains the same and McCain’s goes up. That’s a baaaaad sign for Barack.

Jonathan, #8, its not just the truth. The Republican’s are also fairly efficient at smear tactics. I rememeber an interesting quote from a GOP official (don’t recall his name) who said they would attack Obama on X, which “had the added advantage that its actually true”. The ramifications of that quote are obvious…

Are there any Michael Steele supporters still on this site? This is the post for them. He might deliver the state, given his extensive experience fighting at #2 slot on the ticket.

Representatives Call for McCain ANWR Visit
A House delegation has been visiting ANWR for the past several days and now Representative Marsha Blackburn is calling for McCain to visit the area:
“I would encourage [McCain] to come back and revisit this area and revisit the issue and talk to the people,” said Blackburn speaking over the phone from Barrow, Alaska. The Tennessee congresswoman traveled to Alaska today to learn how Alaskans living near the refuge feel about drilling.”
Perhaps the Representative will also encourage the Senator to take a serious look at another great Alaskan resource, Governor Sarah Palin.

If it were not for downtown Baltimore, we actually could win this state.

wtf?
Can we stop with this Michael Steele crap? The man is not ready. He’s never DONE anything.

Alex, at least Michael Steele is in line with the Republican platform on over 50% of the issues unlike the people you guys keep touting for VP. I too believe he is not VP material, but as head of a state party for many years, Lieutenant Governor for 4 years, and now head of one of the most influential PACs as well as being a visible television pundit, to say he has not DONE anything is laughable.
Ohio Joe, downtown Baltimore is reliably Democratic, but that’s the case with every major city in every state. The reason why we can’t get traction here is because of the limousine liberals in Montgomery County and the federal government workers in PG County.
