Electoral Map: Between the Conventions Edition

After the pick of Biden and the DNC, here’s how things stand (the polls obviously have not caught up with McCain’s pick of Palin for Veep yet): Obama 278, McCain 247 (with 13 tied).

Here’s what other sites are predicting:

McCain Obama
Matt C 247 278
RealClearPolitics (R) 265 273
Electoral-Vote (D) 247 278
Hedgehog Report (R) 206 332
270towin (avg.) (D) 244 294
Election Projection (R) 265 273
FiveThirtyEight (D) 248 290

As usual this year, it almost all comes down to NV, CO, and VA.

Rassmussen Poll–Go Sarah. I guess if Palin and Obama are not qualified to be vice president, it’s a good thing Obama is only running for president.

  3. Kristofer Says:

    Go Sarah!!!

When Thursday/Friday drop off, McCain will be ahead.

  4. mike Says:

Imo it comes down to whether McCain can win one out of CO, NM, and Michigan if he does he will be the POTUS. I just don’t see him losing NV or VA and NH doesnt help since a 269-269 tie goes to Obama…

  5. OHIO JOE Says:

Thank you Mrs Palin for uniting the party and making this a race prior to our convention. I enjoyed hearing you speak in PA yesterday.

That map will be a little redder in a week.

  8. Robbie Says:

When does Gallup release trackings? As much as I believe Rasmussen, I put just as much faith in gallup, which showed an eight point Obama lead at last look. I’d really like to see what they’ve got now.

  9. Tom Says:

Rasmussen and of course Zogby show that Obama did not get much of a bounce if any from the convention, his vp pick and his boring socialist speech. Hopefully, McCain will get a decent bounce from the vp pick, convention & his speech and pull ahead with this thing so that we can focus on matters.

  10. Kristofer Says:

Ras showed that Zogby was correct. It was probably at least 47-45 yesterday in Rasmussen.

  11. Ex-Dem Says:

The Obama/Biden ticket is really a joke. I am so, so proud of McCain for picking Palin as his running mate. McCain/Palin is what this country has been waiting on not this:

Biden behavior is really sad and scary to think that these two individuals could be a heart beat away from the oval office.
