  1. AZVet Says:

That wasn’t even an old growth grove….

That cut tree they were around couldn’t be more than 10-15 years old

  2. Doug Forrester Says:

    Yes We Can!

I think that was Obama’s prospective Secretary for the Department of Energy.

  3. CT GOP Says:

Is this what you do after you graduate with a degree in Women’s Studies?

    “This rock is alive”????

  4. logcabingop Says:

They just got back from Denver.

  5. Dan Says:

Take me to this rock and beat me over the head with it until my neurons fire correctly.

  6. Doug Forrester Says:

Is this the prequel to Deliverance?

  7. eric Says:

    AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

How does your life reach that point?

  8. Faye Says:

I was an eyewitness to the same emotionalism when I attended ,as a guest, a Woman’s Aglow meeting years ago. That group seemed to attract people who wanted to release emotional passions in public. From my observations from that one meeting there seemed to be a competition going on who could outdo the other. Very strange but seeing this video maybe more common than I previously thought.

  9. KnightHawk Says:

    Unhinged.

  10. Greg Alterton Says:

    A Romans 1:20-25 experience.

  11. KnightHawk Says:

Someone need to tip off Penn and Teller to this group. Make for another great episode of BS on Showtime.

  12. calvinc Says:

How come they’re not naked? I saw Martin Sheen in there, I’m almost sure of it. Al Gore was dressed as a tree. Multiply this by 1 million and you have San Francisco.

  13. DSkinner Says:

They must have watched “The Happening” and taken it way too seriously. (it is M. Night Shamlylan’s new movie where the trees spread a virus to try and kill people)

There are too many good jokes out of this, but all of them require offending the holy left, so I don’t think late night comedy will pick up on this.

  14. Texas McCainiac (Formerly, Texas Conservative) Says:

    Hello hard drugs.

  15. MarkG Says:

Earth First must be akin to 4-H Camp for urban academics.

I hope they appreciate what genocide their little foray into the woods caused amongst the pillbugs living on the forest floor. Now where’s my McCulloch?

  16. Tom in SoCal Says:

All I can say is that these people are scary.

  17. bethtopaz Says:

When people don’t believe in God, they’ll believe in anything.

Are these people for real? You know, they are probably the same people who would protest against the Live Baby Act that BO voted against.

#12 - calvinc - When I went to Disneyland when I was little (in the 50s an 60s) they had The Enchanted Forest, where people were dressed up like trees and walked around, scaring little kids.

These people are nuts! Barack Obama’s base.

  18. Laurent Fourier Says:

NYT PREPARES TO FRONT EXPOSE ON PALIN’S BABY… DEVELOPING…

what the f does this mean?

  19. OHIO JOE Says:

This is why we need Mrs. Palin, to combat these nuts.

  20. Faye Says:

    # 18 Laurent, this is just a WILD guess on my part, but maybe they are trying to connect the baby to the partner who tried to have his divorce papers sealed? I had heard that the Nat’l Inquirer was trying to say that Sarah had an affair with this person. Whatever horrible lies the NY Times cooks up about Palin, I hope that any subscriber that has a brain cancels and is vocal about it.

  21. Laurent Fourier Says:

I am already so seething angry at them, i’m thinking about organizing a protest outside the NY Times offices, harrassing their staffers as they go in. (I live in Manhattan)…. Talk me down ?

  22. Faye Says:

Would that action help or hurt McCain\Palin? Sometimes our emotions want to actively do something just to vent. I guess that’s why I am really entertained by you tube. Good way to vent and it reaches a whole lot of people.

  23. Michael Lawrence Says:

Kavon: the best part of that video is that fact that someone actually found it to watch it.

  24. DSkinner Says:

It means sell NYT stock if you have any. They will get crushed for running with this story. Now they are not only going to attack a candidate with lies, but they are going to bring her handicapped infant child into it.

The affair story was weak to begin with but has already been debunked because the divorce papers were not sealed. They didn’t mention the Palin’s at all.

  25. Faye Says:

#23 Michael, as I said earlier that this kind of person\people want to exhibit their emotional passion in public, hence the you tube clip.

  26. Will Says:

Equally as scary as clips of evangelicals speaking in tongues. People are crazy.

  27. bethtopaz Says:

This is just the old paganism - repackaged as environmentalism.
    ********
Paganism, the Paynes said, is an Earth-based religion in which the focus is on nature and its elements: Earth, air, fire and water. The Darkwood group - like many pagan groups, Mrs. Payne said - meets for outdoor rituals similar to church services twice monthly on Saturdays on or around the date of the new moon and full moon, and on pagan holidays (Sabbats).

At the rituals, members recognize and “invite” the elements. Mrs. Payne (a priestess) and a priest lead, praising a god and a goddess (also referred to as Mother Earth). Then they anoint each other’s forehead to prepare to let the two deities work through them to talk to their congregants, much as a preacher would prepare to deliver a sermon, Mrs. Payne said.

A main part of the worship’s focus is on being good to the environment, Mrs. Payne said. Paganism also involves recognizing ancestors, which some pagans will do at midnight tonight at PanGaea Sanctuary near Thomson. The members will celebrate Samhein, their new year, which is Oct. 31 but usually is observed on the weekend closest to it.

  28. Laurent Fourier Says:

OK well I will wait to picket their offices (a couple blocks away from where I work) until I read the story.

Anyway, another piece of good news, USA Today/Gallup has McCain/Palin up 50-46. (The big 5-0) Kavon, can you (or someone else) post it? (A different poll from the tracking poll….)

  29. Win M. Says:

Ironically, I’m sure they’re spilling no tears over aborted fetuses…

  30. AC1 Says:

27- Likely voters have McCain ahead 54-44.

  31. bethtopaz Says:

    #29 - Win M.

Win, just like pagans of old, they would probably offer babies as live sacrifices to their tree gods.

These people have completely sold themselves out to the dark side, imho.

  32. Faye Says:

#26 Will,I know this is going to appear knit-picky but it’s the Charismatics who speak in “tongues” or gibberish not the evangelicals. Not that some people may speak in gibberish and claim to be evangelical but most evangels do not do this nor support it. All the Charismatics support the gibberish.

  33. RayinNH Says:

This makes the the bit from Oppie and Anothony on Friday morning that much better. They kept playing this clip over and over but now that I’ve seen the actual video it makes their commentary that much better.

  34. Jerseyrepublican Says:

If these people lived in some countries in the Middle East or Cuba or Venezuela they would probably be jailed for these actions, if not stoned in the public square and these are the same people who don’t believe their freedom to act like crazy people is worth fighting for. I for one say…live and let live. A lot of people feel religious people are crazy and a lot of people say people who cry over trees are crazy…I say…you gotta love freedom.

  35. BobH Says:

I agree that they are free to behave in (almost) any manner they choose. Others, however, have the freedom to laugh at them — a freedom I exercised loudly while watching that video.

  36. MWS Says:

I think that first gal was Obama’s would be Secretary of Energy.

The Candidates
