She beat the expectations game even in that poll.

Being from the UK I am watching this election race from afar with great interest as America has such a massive impact on the world. The results of this election is going to be significant for everyone. It worries me slightly that god is becoming so involved in the process as there has always been such a good tradition of separation from god and politics in the United States.

3. Our Constitution just says no official state religion.
God has always played a part in US politics to an extent.

Kate,
I am so worried that God plays no part in your politics, other than capitulating to Islam in your education and press I should say.

With all due respect, the fact that Palin beat expectations is not saying much. Expectations for her were very, very low (especially after the Katie Couric interviews).

How sad that our measurement of success is that our VP didn’t fall flat on her face. Last night was a missed opportunity to attack Obama.

How about posting the Fox text poll? Interesting how viewers of different networks saw things differently.
October 3rd, 2008 at 10:23 am
Why not publish a Fox “text message” poll? Umm, lemme guess, because it is not an authentic “poll?”
Genuine polling is based on scientific methods for measuring how confident we can be in the validity and reliability of the poll. Text message voting has absolutely no objective validity or reliability because individuals can “vote” numerous times.

What was the sample of this poll? The CNN newsroom?
#6. Did you even watch the debate. Some pundits (the honest ones) said she attacked Obama better than McCain did.

Palin was very well rehearsed. She was clearly taught to give a cute, folksy reason she was not answering the moderator’s questions, and to a certain extent, she got away with it. But people aren’t stupid. She didn’t look like a driveling idiot, but her generalities and misdirections seem to have been noted by folks who responded to SCIENTIFIC polls.

A CNN poll?
Hell, add 15-20 points to Palin on all counts!
CNN is so biased that this needs to be done for a “fair and Balanced” result!

During the last eight years anyone who disagreed with the Right, under the guidance of Cheney and Rove, has been belittled and insulted. Last night Mr. Biden showed there is still decency in some of our politicians.

I don’t want my vice president winking at me or calling me “joe Six pack”. She is insulting. SOme women, like myself are looking for experience and a candidate who answers questions with content. We aren’t electing the best hockey momwhose expertise is primarily based in Alaska. I want someone who can converse intelligently with foreign leaders relying on their knowledge of the issues and not on rely on their sexuality to get by.

I THINK THAT THEY SHOULD GIVE “MISS CONGENIALITY” HER OWN T.V. SIT-COM WHERE SHE CAN PRETEND TO BE A CANDIDATE. I THINK, WITH A SCRIPT, SHE WOULD PROBABLY GET GREAT RATINGS. THE LAST PLACE, ON THIS PLANET, THAT SHE SHOULD BE, IS ANYWHERE NEAR THE WHITE HOUSE!
October 4th, 2008 at 7:18 pm
And you think Barack HUSSAIN Obama should? Sarah Palin arguablly has as much executive experience as OBAMA.
CHANGE, change what ???? OBAMA you havent even told us what your changing other than differing from GEORGE BUSH.
McCain/Palin O8

HUSSAIN… HUSSAIN… IS THAT MEANT TO BE MEANINGFUL? YOU MUST BE A ROVEIAN REPUBLICAN! THAT IS GOING TO BE PART OF THE CHANGE RIGHT THERE.
October 5th, 2008 at 5:46 am
OH… I FORGOT… HOW ABOUT TAX POLICY, AND IRAQ POLICY, AND HEALTH CARE POLICY, AND ENERGY POLICY, AND THE CREATION OF GREEN-COLLAR JOBS, AND EDUCATION POLICY, AND THE MUCH NEEDED REHABILITATION OF OUR STANDING IN THE WORLD…ECT…ECT. PERHAPS YOU JUST HAVEN’T BEEN REALLY PAYING ATTENTION… PERHAPS YOU HAVE MERELY BEEN WAITING FOR “MISS CONGENIALITY’S” NEXT WINK. SHE REALLY IS THE MOST CURIOUS MIXTURE OF PHYLLIS SCHAFLY, ANNIE OAKLEY, AND BETTY BOOP. IS THAT REALLY WHAT REPUBLICANS WANT IN A FEMALE CANDIDATE? NEXT TO THE SERIOUSNESS, EXPERIENCE, AND GRAVITAS OF HILLARY CLINTON SHE LOOKS LIKE A JOKE… LIKE SOMETHING OUT OF A WARNER BROS. CARTOON! OR THAT T.V. SIT-COM THAT SHE REALLY DOES DESERVE. WHITE HOUSE? GOD HELP US!
October 6th, 2008 at 10:21 am
Thank you Kevin! God help us indeed!
