Ouch PA is starting to look like it is out of reach. If McCain pulls out of there like he did Michigan then we know we are doomed on Nov 4th. It’s not over yet but depending on how the next few weeks go the fat lady could be preparing to warm up.

  2. mike Says:

    1. If McCain wins CO he can lose PA, WI, and MN.

Bull Hooky! Bush didn’t win PA and he won. McCain doesn’t need PA. Besides, I wouldn’t trust this poll.

  4. Ron Says:

McCain probably was not going to win PA and MI anyway, but it would have helped to try and keep Obaam spending money there rather than in must win McCain states like Ohio and Florida.

  5. JayPe Says:

So is it time for McCain to get out of PA?

  6. Steve Says:

    2. Not if he loses VA which is looking pretty likely.

2008 is not 2000 or 2004 and do you only trust polls that show McCain ahead?

  8. ReaganRevolutionary Says:

McCain needs to realize that his only path to victory is sacrificing Iowa, and aiming for a Bush 2004 map otherwise. Pull all that money and all those GOTV people out of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire (and any other Kerry state where he’s got ads up) and double down on Florida, Virginia, Ohio, and Colorado. Every single one of those states has a large conservative base constituency, and independents who don’t swing very Democratic. Hit those states as hard as possible with not just negative Obama ads, but a very strong, and vigorous, ground game where he and Palin are doing at least 4 rallies together each and every day as well as constant earned media with local news organizations where he has some type of coherent economic plan that goes beyond pork and tax cuts. He either stops taking weekends off, or he loses. He either starts actually trying or we’re stuck with, in the immortal words of Harriet Christian, a “inadequate black male.”
