All Palin, All the Time.

Media Pleads with Palin, Again; “Leave our Bambi Alone”

The NYT and the WAPO filled entire web pages with reasons why Governor Palin should not mention Rev. Wright.  Of course, this same publications have not thought twice about printing false stories about Governor Palin and her family.  Kind of hypocritical, isn’t it?   Just the other day, the largest newspapers across the country filled valuable print space to complain about how voters at Palin events were turning ugly toward reporters.  Do we really care about the dirty looks voters give reporters?

Palin will Drop the Puck

Governor Sarah Palin will drop the puck on opening night of the NHL season in Philadelphia.  This is one of many scheduled events for Governor Palin in the Keystone State.  McCain internal polling must be showing them something about Governor Palin’s popularity in PA, that we are not seeing in the generic polls.

It could also be that double digit Clinton victory in the primary (a surprise), which ran in contrast to late polling that showed Obama closing the gap.  Clinton scored big with older, white women and she won about six in 10 of those who made their choice at the last moment.

The Palin Song

Palin supporters in the conservative oil producing Province of Alberta have penned and recorded a song for Governor Palin.  I doubt they will win a Source award, but it is the effort that counts.  Of course, the best Palin video of the last week was when Governor Palin respectfully slammed a heckler in the audience at a rally.

Since the Media will not ask, Sarah Does

In a press-conference aboard her plane in North Carolina, Governor Palin questioned Obama’s judgement.

“again it is relevant to connect that association that he has with Ayers — not so much he as a person Ayers, but the whole situation and the truthfulness and the judgment there that you must question if again he’s not being forthright in all of his answers as to how did you know him, when did you know him, why would you continue to be associated with him? “

Palin to Appear on SNL

SNL producer, Lorne Michaels hinted that Governor Palin will make a cameo appearance on SNL some time in the next three weeks.  when asked, Michaels said; “All in good time,”.  When asked of her thoughts on Tine Fey’s performance, Palin stated; “I love her, she’s a hoot and she’s so talented, It would be fun to meet her, imitate her and keep on giving her new material.”  Cindy Adams reports that the appearance is a “done deal”.

Sarah’s 15 minutes – then back to reality, Trig, and other problems.

  3. David Says:

This election has turned out to be a contest to see who can grow government the fastest.

  5. OzWill Says:

you forgot to mention the supporters who screamed for the blood of a candidate for the Presidency of the United States… without the Stepford VP so much as batting an eyelid. This campaign has lost all credibility and will be looked back on as one of the sourest most turgid chapters in our political history

  6. Kristofer Lorelli Says:

    #5, jealous, jealous boy!

  7. OzWill Says:

    Kristofer,

I used to really enjoy this site until you replaced Alex. I certainly had my differences with him but you have brought a septic, spiteful strain of discourse to the front page. You’re not doing anyone any favors by drawing attention to these rallies… dont’t insist on being the guy who goes down with the ship!

  8. Jeff Says:

    3. actually, Bush has already won that award… even if you factor in Barack’s spending initiatives…

    Great legacy, huh?

  9. Kristofer Lorelli Says:

#7, LOL! My friend (and I am talking to him as we speak), would admit, he was no alter boy. LOL!!!!!

  10. OzWill Says:

    have you been drinking KL?

  11. Kristofer Lorelli Says:

#10, I am messaging with Alex as we speak.

I do not understand why I do not have the right to post about Palin? She is the Republican VP candidate, and I support her, as does a VAST majority of Republicans.

I encourage you to go back and read Alex Knepper’s posts. He was very colorful and passionate, and BTW! I never claimed to replace him. I just hope he remembers me when he is at The Weekly Standard.

  12. Jeff Says:

anyone just watch Pawlenty’s intro for McCain?

    … nuff said …

  13. OzWill Says:

I never said you didn’t, post about Palin until your fingers bleed if that’s your want. I was simply making the point that her rallies are getting very ugly and all that achieves is to make the rest of us look like a bunch violent, redneck hooligans.

Oh and I dont need to reread Alex’s columns, but from what I remember he was banned for anti-Palin sentiments… or am i wrong?

  14. Kristofer Lorelli Says:

#13, I would never speak for Kavon, but I believe you just insulted him. Kavon supports freedom of speech, thus allow DaveG to continue to write his articles critical of McCain and the campaign. Heck, I have written a post critical of Steve Schmidt.

Alex was banned for another reason, I encourage you to go back and read Kavon’s post on the reason.

OzWill, I respect the fact that you prefer “clean” politics. But that is not reality in modern times, and Obama is not immune himself. Have you received one of their push-polls?

  15. Kristofer Lorelli Says:

    http://race42008.com/2008/09/03/my-apology/

  16. JA Pruce Says:

2012 is Palin’s if she wants it.

  17. Phantom Says:

12 – Pawlenty do a nice job or no? Not following as I didn’t see the intro.

  18. David Says:

    #16.

    Not so fast…
Her name is being thrashed through the mud and allot can happen in 4 years.

  19. Kristofer Lorelli Says:

I might agree with #16, he crowds tell us she will be unbeatable in caucuses and small state primaries.

  20. OzWill Says:

    Kristofer,

It was not my intention to insult Kavon, I realize the situation was more complicated but I was trying to be blunt.

Anyway, of course neither side practices ‘clean’ politics, whatever that is, and no I have never received a push-poll (or any poll for that matter :( ) I just feel that the campaign has gone beyond the usual exaggerations and distortions that we learn to live with and begun to incite real hatred. There is no comparison. If McCain doesnt have a real economic plan within the next week then he should just give it up.

  21. Kristofer Lorelli Says:

#20, this was started by Obama several months ago with the “100 years” in Iraq comment, Wesley Clark, NYT’s hit job, etc…

McCain did not start this, Obama did.

I understand know one cares about Joe Biden, but go read transcripts from his SMALL events and see what he has been saying.

  22. Dave Says:

    David,
Actually, a lot can happen in less than 4 weeks. While it’s clear that Obama is ahead in this race, it’s also clear that his margin is thin, and it’s historically accurate to point out that Democrats have frequently been a little ahead at this stage of presidential campaigns that they subsequently lost—Bradley effect or no Bradley effect. Sarah is doing what she needs to do to turn this campaign around.

  23. beck Says:

Have ya’ll seen the new McCain ACORN ad? This is getting serious.

  24. OzWill Says:

21, beyond my moral qualms i just think politically this is a deranged strategy. McCain and Palin have both said that their issue is not with Ayers but with the fact Obama has been untruthful, implying they know something everyone else doesnt. Put up or shut up i say.

  25. Kristofer Lorelli Says:

#24, maybe they do? So your issue is that they should not be bringing up Ayres, or that they are not doing it correctly?

  26. OzWill Says:

25, or maybe they don’t. The Ayers issue has been strung along for almost a week now with nothing emerging that we didn’t already know. From what I can tell (ie the polling) no-one gives a f*ck. So I have to assume Obama’s been hiding something mind blowing and the McCain campaign brains trust has been waiting for the perfect moment to unleash. Based on their dithering performance so far, I find that unlikely.

  27. Kristofer Lorelli Says:

so you have the same issues with the Obama campaign? Using old and false news to attack Palin and McCain?

  28. OzWill Says:

you’ve lost all touch with reality Kristofer. I don’t see how you can watch video of a rally where people yell to kill Obama, in response to thinly veiled equivalences to him being a terrorist, and not be troubled.

If McCain wants to go Nuremberg, I’ll vote for Paul

  29. RayinNH Says:

In case anyone has been wondering I receive a 13 minute push poll once a night. I finally got one of the pollsters to talk to me after the poll was over and he said he works for a private firm hired by somebody else, hired by somebody else, but it seems to him that the polls he has been giving are being paid for by Dems.

It really is fun living in a swing state and I’m going to miss the politics when I relocate to Kentucky the day after the election.

  30. Joe Says:

Palin has jumped the shark. Can’t believe any of you think she has 1% chance of winning the primary in 2012. Romney’s machine will bury her. If you want a young exciting face Jindal is 100 times the person she is.

  31. Todd Says:

    Palin Power: To RIR!

The McCain-Palin rally scheduled for Monday in Richmond is being moved from a small basketball arena there to the Richmond International Raceway on the Virginia state fairgrounds.

This is the third time in a week campaign officials have had to change venues to accomodate Palin’s crowds.

  32. Aron Goldman Says:

McCain Refrains From Singing From Same Sheet of Scary Music as Sarah

SARAH PALIN: “Our opponent … is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he’s palling around with terrorists who would target their own country.” She also said, “This is not a man who sees America as you see America and as I see America.”

“I’m afraid this is someone who sees America as imperfect enough to work with a former domestic terrorist who had targeted his own country.

“This, ladies and gentlemen, has nothing to do with the kind of change that anyone can believe in: not my kids, not for your kids.

“What we believe in is what Ronald Reagan believed in, and that is that America is an exceptional nation.

“I’m just so fearful that this is not a man who sees America the way that you and I see America: as the greatest source for good in this world.”

QUESTIONER at TOWNHALL MEETING: I’m concerned about someone who cohorts with domestic terrorists such as Ayers.

JOHN MCCAIN: First of all, I want to be President of the United States, and obviously I do not want Senator Obama to be. But, I have to tell you — I have to tell you — he is a decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared (of) as President of the United States.

QUESTIONER at TOWNHALL MEETING: I do not believe in — I can’t trust Obama. I have read about him and he’s not…he’s not — he’s an Arab.

JOHN MCCAIN: No, ma’am. He’s a decent family man, citizen, that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues and that’s what this campaign is all about. He’s not, thank you.

  33. Onat Says:

McCain makes a last ditch effort to save some last shreds of his honor. Well, good for him – he does, after all, have to live and work with people for the rest of his Senate career.

What has been exposed though, is some real ugliness at the heart of the Republican base.

When the Dems lost power, the “loony left” gave us lots of heated rhetoric and some goofy papier mache puppets.
When the GOP lost power in ‘92, we got hate radio, the militia movements, and murderous domestic terrorism (OK city).

Will be going back down that dark road in the next few years?

This is going to be the challange for many of you guys, the active, articulate members of the GOP fan club – it will be your responsibility to take up Bill Buckleys self-described life work – to separate the Right from the lunatics.

    Do not shirk this responsibility.

  34. Brian Says:

Palin is a disaster! Sure, conservatives love Ms joe six pack and her strong conservative stands. The problem, which took about 18 hours to expose, is that she is not up to the job. The media have been able to paint her as a lightweight. They would not have been able to do that with Thompson, Guiliani, Romney or a host of others. Just after the convention bouce we got WEEKS of discussion on whether she was qualified or a light-weight. THE PRECISE THING YOU DO NOT WANT TO HAPPEN IS FOR THE VP TO BE A DISTRACTION! AND NOW WE WILL HAVE A FEWS DAYS OF PALIN ABUSE OF POWER.

And no doubt Kristofer will be on about what a great pick she is. LOL. Her star lasted about a day until she opened her mouth.
