Another contender is Charlie Crist, the governor of Florida, who at one time was close to McCain but the relationship cooled after McCain overlooked him for the vice-presidential slot.

If someone in a dark blue state who has little in common with our party wants to vote for our leadership and vote for our committees, I could care less if they’re a liberal running as a Republican.

Why haven’t we yet heard from our President-elect about the “Big 3″ bailout? I’m guess he is waiting until the Senate makes its decision so he can make sure he is/was on the majority side.

EGS – excellent point. While many of us may detest “RINOs” (whatever that might mean right now) but the GOP must find a way to be successful in dark blue states (NY, MA, anyone?) and as you say, if they are willing to push the overall GOP movement then “Welcome to Our Big Tent.”

  6. Ray Brun (formerly: RayinNH) Says:

Kavon – what about some articles related to the race for the RNC Chairmanship?

I think this would be a good addition from someone who should run and should win the RNC chairmanship – http://www.unionleader.com/article.aspx?headline=Sen.+John+E.+Sununu%3a+A+bailout+for+the+Big+Three+would+be+a+big+mistake&articleId=7185970c-997c-4ec2-8c35-40bdf9622b3f

  7. Falz Says:

    Why McCain can’t just dissapear?
