Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, seems to be testing a line of attack just in case Palin is planning a primary challenge. The Senator released this statement today:
“I am deeply disappointed that the Governor has decided to abandon the State and her constituents before her term has concluded.”
I guess the beating Palin gave daddy still stings a little, eh Senator?

Catfight!
Haha, no, she’s not running for Murkowski’s seat. She couldn’t win it.

Murkowski is right.

I don’t begrudge Senator Murkowski for being a little snappish with Governor Palin. Blood is thicker than water, and hearing that the woman who beat your father for this job isn’t even going serve out the full term, well she probably feels like she has good reason to be testy.

Well, didn’t Palin abandon Alaska and her constituents before the end of her term?
July 4th, 2009 at 12:29 am
No, she left Alaska in the good hands of her Lt. Governor. Its not like Alaska will have NO governor. The legal bills she faces were not expected by her when she ran for gov. in 2006.

Yeah i dont think she’d run against Murkowski, I think she’d rather run against Begich in 2014.

100% right. LM seems to be a much better poll than her father (and obviously has more potential than SP).
Even if what Palin said was actually right and there wasn’t some big scandal brewing (unlikely), she is spitting in the face of all of those who voted for her.
She is only 2.5 years into her first term! Think about how hard the likes of Clinton fought to stay in office and it shows how weak she is (again assuming there isn’t something else behind the decision which I expect).

LM also showed great loyalty to the party in supporting SP’s VP bid.
She’s owes her NOTHING and she deserves nothing now that she is yesterday’s news, a has been.
I don’t intend to say anything further on SP for the moment as the whole fairy-tale should be and hopefully is over.

“Well, didn’t Palin abandon Alaska” Yes, MarK, but I think I would do the same if a bunch of ungrateful hacks dreamed up phony ethics charges against me.

That was a shot across the bow for sure.
Once MJ is buried the press is going to be all over Alaska to find out the real story.

SP just lost my wife’s support by her actions yesterday. My wife had SP has her number 1 choice but now questions why she would just “give up” because the press “got too mean.” It seems that all of my number 2’s keep screwing up. First Sanford, now Palin. I guess it is bad luck to be Ray’s #2.
OHIO JOE- #9 is what politics is all about. A real leader fights against injustice, they don’t tuck their tail and run away from it. It amazes me how all the Palin supporters are trying to make this out into a brilliant 2012 move. I just don’t see it.
The only one who I can respect in all of this is Alex Knepper because he isn’t in the tank for SP so he can share some unbiased reviews of her actions. I can see SP running in 2012 but I can also see her being honest being done with Politics completely. I don’t see any way I could support her after her disjointed, unorganized announcement.

I guess it is bad luck to be Ray’s #2.
Make Huckabee your #2.
July 4th, 2009 at 8:56 am
Ray you should put Huckabee in your #2 spot.

LOL to #12 and #13.
I don’t even think I could stomach making him my #2. Everyone in the world would know that I was trying to screw him by saying he was my #2. But, if it would ruin his chances for 2012 I think I just might make him my #2.

“It amazes me how all the Palin supporters are trying to make this out into a brilliant 2012 move. I just don’t see it.” I for one do not think this has anything to do with a brilliant move. I think that she is essentially out of the game.
