Mao once told some of his young followers that they weren’t ready to have a revolution until they were ready to “eat rats, and shoot your own mother.”
Apparently, he couldn’t relate to the Confucian doctrine of filial piety. He developed a real taste for killing, and probably didn’t realize that future advisors to an American president would someday admire him for that.
Quoting Mao for historical insights in and of itself isn’t much of a crime at all really. Problem was she did say that Mao was one of her favorite political philosophers, and anyone with a rosy idea of Mao overall has issues to say the least. The Chinese themselves don’t really like Mao – I don’t know a single one who does. He was an insane leftist revolutionary that let his philosophy destroy a country for twenty years. His only gift to it was that he and his party followers let it so easily fall into the hands of Deng Xiaoping and those he denounced as the “capitalist roaders”.
Beck’s got a point here – we really do have far-left individuals running this government, posing as reasoned moderates.
Glenn Beck has been sounding the alarm on a lot of people surrounding Obama all summer and into fall, with the exception of ACORN and Van Jones no one feels they can do anything about who Obama surrounds himself with. Valerie Jarret is a Communist who is carrying on her Father’s legacy and is probably the most dangerous, she is a long time friend of Obama, she has the President’s ear, and he trusts her.
The upcoming elections are going to be important of course, but I have a feeling the Dems are going to win the fight.
That leaves the 2012 elections, I hope the Republicans and the conservative media will realize how important it is and get on the same page and forget the grassroot movements this time around. We just can’t have 3 candidates going into Super Tuesday. Our system is designed for only two candidates beating each other up for the nomination.
I’ve been getting a little annoyed at the constant barrage of Obama cabinet members that we’ve been expecting Obama to throw under the bus, but anyone who can get up and say that sort of broadly positive bullsh** about a Communist tyrant while she’s actually working for the White House doesn’t just deserve to be thrown under the bus… she deserves to be thrown under the double-decker bus, dragged through the street, hanged, quartered, and fed to hogs. To put it bluntly.
