The proof is in the pudding. Last weekend he got booed by his constituents when he said good government requires one to abandon principles. He came back to Washington and promptly threatened to torpedo the Health Bill unless abortion funding is prohibited.
I am inclined to think those boos were a bucket of cold water thrown on him. They woke him up.
You’re giving me some hope here. I looked again and it appears the video is older than the public comments about his dust up with Obama. Hopefully the latter is where he still stands. I’ve been a huge Stupak fan for a while (even called him a hero a few days ago), but that video is HUGELY disappointing and pretty much out of synch with the rest of his voting record.
I HOPE he mispoke at the townhall, but it sure reads like he meant what he said.

We are keeping up the pressure with TeaParties today and next week. We will see how Blue each of the Blue Dogs are.

I saw that yesterday, I guess he does not have anymore backbone than my own Congressman.
