  1. Tommy Boy Says:

I am stunned by how badly Corzine dominated Christie on the honesty question. I suppose this trait is no longer deemed to be a significant one considering that only 12% of the electorate felt that was the primary trait on which to judge the two candidates.

Big winner from Christie besides the man himself was none other than Scott Rasmussen:

  2. Sean M Says:

Turns out that Mitt Romney’s PAC did make a last minute donation of $5,000 to the Hoffman campaign.

  3. Anthony Dalke Says:

    TB,

Yeah, I planned on mentioning something about Rasmussen to you. I recall you saying that he would draw a lot of criticism if Corzine ended up winning. Fortunately, Ras emerges from the election with a reputation stronger than ever.

  4. Greg Says:

How big of a win was last night for rnc mike steele as chairman?

  5. MPC Says:

I’d say it was important, but most of the credit rightly goes to McDonnell and Christie themselves.

Christie winning moderates was big. Republicans don’t tend to prevail in that category too often.

  6. Greg Says:

Question I was watching one of the morning shows this AM and adviser david alexrod was basically saying that campaign for 2010 starts NOW and the ”inside info” that shows Dems got 2010 in the bag anybody believe that should we believe it?

  7. MPC Says:

I think Axelrod is dreaming ;)

He knows the center of his party is getting skittish right at the same time that the progressive purity movement is getting stronger. Democrats are demanding that their people recommit to that agenda while many are worried about moving more in that disastrous direction. Meanwhile their dream of getting Palin to lead an insurgency against Republican candidates flopped last night. What they absolutely do not want is to face dozens of Christie’s and McDonnell’s leading a coalition of moderates and conservatives eager to throw out the party that has extended the non-leadership of Bush and the old DeLay Republicans. Democrats no matter where they are will be in trouble if that happens.

The best thing we can have now is to start to ring up defections. Getting Lieberman and a southern Democrat or two like Lincoln in Arkansas to switch parties would be beautiful for spearheading a ‘10 sweep.

  8. Greg Says:

question we can’t sit still after last night 2 big wins in nj and va so when does 2010 and 2012 announcements of exploratory committees start!!!? I am reday to roll we can’t affaid to just sit and go vote the day of in 2010 or 2012! my guess is Axelrod is setting up the 2010 2012 plan now….

  9. alaska jake Says:

Corzine got 15% of the conservative vote? Huh?
