Gov. Mike Huckabee writes the following in a new Huck PAC post:
There is no longer any doubt who Democrats in the House answer to—and it’s NOT their constituents back home. They let Nancy Pelosi break their arms and domesticate them so they would ignore unemployment, deficits, and a war and push forward with a 2300 page health care bill that they didn’t read and don’t understand. I hope their real bosses—the voters—will remove them from office and send them the message that they need to take a good look around the Capitol this December and enjoy the Christmas decorations since the voters will make sure that it’s their last Christmas to be seeing them as a Congressman.
Nancy Pelosi and Barak Obama’s Saturday Night Fever is an outrageous betrayal of their promises and the principles of good government. They will only hear one thing—the sound of election returns that send them home. Find out how your member voted and thank them if they remembered to vote for you and let them know that you will dedicate time, money, and energy to their defeat if they voted to give their seat to Pelosi and Obama.
I am personally committed to identifying 3000 conservatives in the month of November that agree with me. If you do I urge you to make a donation of $25 or more towards our efforts to vote these Democrats out of office.

A Stupak amendment of our own
by Chris Bowers
http://www.openleft.com/diary/15926/a-stupak-amendment-of-our-own
November 9th, 2009 at 12:24 am
Huck’s not my man for 2012 but I couldn’t agree with him more on this.
For me, my congressman is a faithful conservative and my Senators are too but I plan to actively work to defeat the congressmen in districts adjacent to me that voted for another gigantic entitlement when the ones we already have are rapidly bankrupty this great Nation.
November 9th, 2009 at 12:54 am
Well, at least we can say Governor Huckabee is TRYING to raise funds.
Sorry, that was a bit snarky. I guess the fund-raising pitch bothered me a bit. I don’t mind reading fund-raising pitches from people I support. I do mind reading fund-raising pitches from people I DON’T support.
November 9th, 2009 at 12:54 am
Huckster is a fringe candidate. Mostly a theocrat.
November 9th, 2009 at 1:08 am
@JayPe …good catch thanks.
@Molly
“Huckster is a fringe candidate.”
Factually not true. Look at recent polling data.
“Mostly a theocrat.”
He has never supported a theocracy. That is a bold faced lie.
November 9th, 2009 at 1:21 am
David, you are right that the theocracy claim is a lie, but it is “bald faced lie” and also right he is not a fringe candidate.
Huck is right on about needing to work against these late night voters who have voted to take more money and waste it and add multiple layers of more bureaucracy that will further bring down our great nation.
November 9th, 2009 at 1:25 am
David Schmidt
No it’s not you’re the one lying. Huckster is ON RECORD stating he wants to change the Constitution to be more in line with “God law’s.”
He want’s a theocratic Constitution.
November 9th, 2009 at 1:27 am
Huckster also governed as a Christian Socialist with with a theocratic agenda.
Ron Paul is a Christian, but he believes in separation between church and state and mostly local governance or preferably self-governance.
November 9th, 2009 at 1:41 am
I like Huck, but he misspelled President Obama’s first name. That’s a bad mistake.
November 9th, 2009 at 2:13 am
“Huckster is ON RECORD stating he wants to change the Constitution to be more in line with “God law’s.””
Not true. He just said it should be easier to change the Constitution to be in line with God’s Word than change God’s Word to reflect the Constitution.
He was making the point the Constitution can be amended while what God’s word says can not be. This is in response to liberals who have tried to throw out plain reading of the Bible related to homosexuality and passages on human life.
Huckabee also specifically said that this statement was only in reference to human life and state marriage recognition for homosexuals.
He has made it clear in MANY interviews that he does not support a Theocracy.
That said, there is no religious test for Government and individuals can have their views shaped based on any belief system.
November 9th, 2009 at 2:25 am
Very well said #12
Mike Huckabee for President in 2012! You cant deny his existence forever!
November 9th, 2009 at 2:35 am
If Huck really wrote that, COMPARE THAT ANGER — VITRIOL — to the classy way Palin addresses this (as she writes in her facebook).
This passage from Huckabee more than proves my point. Huck is not, cannot be, won’t be, a President or Nominee — Palin IS!
November 9th, 2009 at 2:39 am
Stated another way, whereas Huckabee is crass, Palin has finesse!
November 9th, 2009 at 2:40 am
So in other words, Huckabee wants to change the Constitution so that it’s like the bible to keep those gays from marrying!
Theocrat.
November 9th, 2009 at 3:35 am
Haha. I liked the thought of referring to her as Former Gov. Palin (R-Facebook) but then I got to thinking it might not be accurate. For all we know she may try to be Candidate and Ex-Gov. Palin (I-Facebook) by 2012. If that happens then god help us all.
November 9th, 2009 at 4:39 am
#5….Yeah, I was thinking, “That’s right…go get’em Huck”……and then I suddenly crashed into the fundraising plea…..caught me off guard….my church doesn’t pass the plate, so I guess I’m not used to having the principles based speech and the begging for money going on in the same breath…
November 9th, 2009 at 4:49 am
Huckabee won’t get the nominee in 2012. He is done!
November 9th, 2009 at 5:18 am
This is a good first step by Mr. Huckabee in his efforts to be accepted again by some of the base. However, I am in no mood still to give to HUCK PAC.
November 9th, 2009 at 5:22 am
“They let Nancy Pelosi break their arms and domesticate them”. what in the world……
November 9th, 2009 at 6:57 am
The gist of it is, we’re going to vote out every single democrat that we can next year as revenge for passing this monstrosity in the house. if the senate passes it, Obama is done in 2012, whether the candidate is Huckabee or Romney or Pawlenty or Palin (R-Facebook). sorry, couldn’t resist. that was a good one adam. let’s not spoil a good hoohah by debating theocracy. take the words at face value and don’t read into them. these guys all have to be pretty smart to get where they are.
November 9th, 2009 at 7:45 am
So we’ve got
Palin (R-Facebook)
Huckabee (R-Fox News)
Romney (R-Boardroom).
Have I missed anyone?
November 9th, 2009 at 7:52 am
21. I agree.
I get so tired of the way Huck expresses himself. He thinks his audience is so stupid that they cannot understand anything without his silly, overused quips, one-liners, etc.
Yet, this is why his fans say he is so adored. What a charming, charismatic fellow! When he talks about Pelosi breaking arms, Adam Smith flipping the bird, Obama being assassinated, and where to stick the Confederat Flag, it’s anything but charming to me.
November 9th, 2009 at 8:25 am
If the public option and health care reform in general was popular in the representatives’ districts, does that count as acting against their interests? What about the Republican congressmen who voted against a bill popular in their districts just because it was associated with their opponents? What about the uninsured in all of the districts? Is it too much to put a hold on the rhetoric and actually think?
November 9th, 2009 at 8:28 am
Did Romney not just send out a request for money for his PAC? Did he not do this right after NJ and VA won Republican governorships? Alas, Romney is allowed and encouraged to ask for money, but when Huckabee does it, we are told “I’m not used to having the principles based speech and the begging for money going on in the same breath…”
And yes Martha, Pelosi went farther than twisting arms to get her healthcare package passed, she actually had to break a few arms to get a yes vote. Why else would Pelosi allow a vote on the Stupak amendment?
November 9th, 2009 at 8:30 am
Ohio Joe-who are you giving your money to these days? Are you still donating to Sarah Pac or are you giving directly to candidates that you want elected, even if they are not in your state?
November 9th, 2009 at 8:34 am
It looks like, as usual, The Huckster follows Sarah Palin’s lead:
We’ve got to hold on to hope, and we’ve got to fight hard because Congressional action tonight just put America on a path toward an unrecognizable country.
The same government leaders that got us into the mortgage business and the car business are now getting us into the health care business.
Despite Americans’ decisive message last Tuesday that they reject the troubling path this country has been taking, Speaker Pelosi has broken her own promises of transparency to ram a health “care” bill through the House of Representatives just before midnight. Why did she push the 2,000 page bill this weekend? Was she perhaps afraid to give her peers and the constituents for whom she works the chance to actually read this monstrous bill carefully, if at all? Was she concerned that Americans might really digest the details of a bill that the Wall Street Journal has called “the worst piece of post-New Deal legislation ever introduced”?
This out-of-control bureaucratic mess will be disastrous for our economy, our small businesses, and our personal liberty. It will slam businesses at a time when we are at double-digit unemployment rates – the highest we’ve seen in a quarter of a century. This massive new bureaucracy will cost us and our children money we don’t have. It will rob Americans of more of our freedom and further hamper the free market.
Make no mistake: we’re on course to have government commandeer one-sixth of our economy. The people who gave us Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac now want to run our health care. Think about that.
All of us who value the sanctity of life are grateful for the success of the pro-life majority in the House this evening in its battle against federal funding of abortion in this bill, but it’s ironic because we were promised that abortion wasn’t covered in the bill to begin with. Our healthy distrust of these government leaders made us look deeper into the bill because unfortunately we knew better than to trust what they were saying. The victory tonight to amend the bill and eliminate that federal funding for abortion was great – because abortion is not health care. Now we can only hope that Rep. Stupak’s amendment will hold in the final bill, though the Democratic leadership has already refused to promise that it won’t be scrapped later.
We had been told there were no “death panels” in the bill either. But look closely at the provision mandating bureaucratic panels that will be calling the shots regarding who will receive government health care.
Look closely at provisions addressing illegal aliens’ health care coverage too.
Those of us who love freedom and believe in open and transparent government can only be dismayed by midnight action on a Saturday. Speaker Pelosi’s promise that Americans would have 72 hours to read the final bill before the vote was just another one of the D.C. establishment’s too-common political ploys. It’s broken promises like this that turn people off to politics and leave them disillusioned about the future of their country.
But despite this late-night maneuvering, many of us were paying close attention tonight. We’ll keep paying close attention. We need to let our legislators in Washington know that they still represent us, and that the majority of Americans are not in favor of the “reform” they are pushing. After all, this is still a country “of the people, by the people, and for the people.” We will make our voices heard. It’s on to the Senate now. Our legislators can listen now, or they can hear us in 2010. It’s their choice.
- Sarah Palin

Is it just me or is The Huckster always a day late and a dollar short?
November 9th, 2009 at 8:50 am
26. Texas,
I don’t have a problem with Huck asking for donations at HuckPAC. I do have a problem with it being a FFP here. I’ve never seen anyone post Romney’s solicitation for donations as some kind of news item.
I understand Huck has problems raising money, and that Schmidt is trying help him out a little. but let’s get something real to talk about, for instance the Politico interview with Huck on the road where the old ladies swoon for him, and where he continues to take veiled shots at Romney.
November 9th, 2009 at 8:52 am
26. Texas,
Yes, Polosi twisted arms. I just can’t stand the way Huck expresses himself. He soooo overdoes the quips, jokes, etc. It makes me nuts. I wish he would just say it straight without trying to be cute or funny ALL of the time. He has contempt for his audience, when he is so unserious.
November 9th, 2009 at 8:53 am
“Ohio Joe-who are you giving your money to these days? Are you still donating to Sarah Pac or are you giving directly to candidates that you want elected, even if they are not in your state?” Besides giving a bit of money to my Church, I am sitting on some of my money for now. Recently, I gave a small donation to Mr. Hoffman and I have donated to Team Sarah, but I admit that I have not given to Sarah PAC for a little while, but shall get around to it. I will give a donation (probably a big one) to a Republican that will run against my so-called Blue Dog son of a gun piece of work Congressman during this calandar year. I am just holding out to see who runs and I will back the most charasmatic speaker so that we shall have the best chance to defeat that joker. However, you can be assured that the RNC is not getting a dime from my household in the foreseeable future.
November 9th, 2009 at 8:54 am
Romney, Huckabee, what’s the difference? Neither will ever be president. Two boring old RINOs.
November 9th, 2009 at 9:00 am
“Romney, Huckabee, what’s the difference? Neither will ever be president. Two boring old RINOs.” When as much as it does not trill me, unfortunately, one of those two probably will become president. I would not call them boring RINOs either, but I do not have a lot of good things to say either.
November 9th, 2009 at 9:11 am
Shhhhhh, BTW, TexasConserv, for slightly different reasons, let’s just say my wife is not anymore happy with Mr. Huckabee than I am. Let’s also just say that she would not be jumping for joy if I were no donate to anybody even associated with Mr. Huckabee, but if a certain Huckabeeite were to run for Congress, in my state, my whole family and many of my friends from various camps would go to the fund-raiser.
November 9th, 2009 at 9:31 am
Here is one of the fpp of Romney’s Pac

Since when is Kristofer a Romney supporter? No Romney FPP did this! However, I do believe in the not to distant future Kristofer will be a Romney supporter, along with others.
November 9th, 2009 at 10:03 am
Huck: Please give me some money so that I can afford to pay my own arm breaking thugs.
November 9th, 2009 at 10:23 am
35. I stand corrected. But at least it was not a Romney supporter who did it!
November 9th, 2009 at 10:25 am
35. I stand corrected. But at least it was not a Romney supporter who did it!
(And, it was not a solicitation for money.)

November 9th, 2009 at 10:34 am
So I think Texasconserv in #26 and 27 has been sufficiently rebuked.
Romney sends out donation requests to those who have donated to him or to those who have signed up for his newsletter, afaik.
I’ve never received an e-mail from HuckPAC, but I have taken a couple of robo phone calls from him which I believe ended with a solicitation for money. I never asked to be Huck’s phone list…
November 9th, 2009 at 10:52 am
” I never asked to be Huck’s phone list…” With respect, I have never asked a lot of politicians to be put on their phone lists, but Mr. Huckabee certainly is not the only person who calls and asks for money.
November 9th, 2009 at 10:52 am
#26..TexasConserv……My bad…..I was in a hurry to get to the text of what I thought was a Huckabee speech and missed the line under the picture saying it was a piece from a HuckPAC post, so yeah, Huck has all the right in the world to ask for donations in that situation.
But that brings me to a second question…..Why are we posting PAC fundraising letters here?
I get’em from Pawlenty and Romney all the time. Should I post them here?
November 9th, 2009 at 10:54 am
“I get’em from Pawlenty and Romney all the time. Should I post them here?” haha, I’ve been getting e-mails from Mr. Pawlenty as well, but no Pawlentyite has yet to explain how I got there.
November 9th, 2009 at 11:02 am
#43…Ohio Joe….Yeah, I was surprised when they started coming, but I figured he got my “number” from the RNC or the Washington State RC….
I got lots from John McCain too last cycle but that happened right after Mitt dropped out, so I’m pretty sure Mitt passed his donor list to John.
November 9th, 2009 at 11:10 am
So the Huckster is like an Islamist. He wants to codify the Bible into the Constitution to protect us from the gays!
booggaaa boooggaa boooga
November 9th, 2009 at 11:11 am
Oh, perhaps my state gave one of my e-mail addresses to Mr. Pawlenty, Jerald. Either way that is OK, I am not going to give Mr. Pawlenty a donation in the next little while, but who knows, I may just become a Pawlentyite in 2012 depending on how the cookie crumbles. I hope things are going well there in the state of Washington.
November 9th, 2009 at 11:16 am
#46…..Other than living in the liberal haven of Seattle things are so so considering the state of affairs, but even here the Obama political currency is shedding some of its value.
November 9th, 2009 at 11:20 am
#45……Molly, I have no love for the Huckster, but even I won’t say that’s what he was saying. Let’s keep the discussion to what the man meant by what he said rather than trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill.
Besides, I’m sure you don’t enjoy it when people twist what Ron Paul says.
November 9th, 2009 at 11:31 am
I don’t think we’re twisting it.
Huck says he wants to change the Constitution so that it’s like the bible.
He says the Bible super cedes the Constitution so we need to make them the same.
That’s the definition of a theocrat.
November 9th, 2009 at 11:36 am
#49…..Molly, do us all a favor, and provide the reference to that original statement by Huckabee.
November 9th, 2009 at 11:52 am
While I wouldn’t post a fundraising letter from any particular candidate, Gov Huckabee’s message of opposition to Obamacare is a good one. Let’s not be petty and hateful, and let’s just support the message: NO on gov’t healthcare!
November 9th, 2009 at 12:41 pm
did Huckabee seriously spell “Barak’s” name wrong?
November 9th, 2009 at 1:02 pm
Huck’s got the right message, again.
Wake up!
Unite the R E P U B L I C A N S, folks.
And beat Obawwmuh…
November 9th, 2009 at 1:08 pm
Feel free to ignore my nosey question of course, but with respect Huckabee/Rubio are you the same guy as Huckabee/Pawlenty?
November 9th, 2009 at 1:13 pm
Ohio Joe, that’s my wife. : )
She loves Tim. (So do I, but Rubio makes a better ticket, imho.)
November 9th, 2009 at 1:15 pm
Btw, Huckabee-Romney is a strong ticket, too.
November 9th, 2009 at 1:18 pm
We both agree that the Party MUST come together to take back the White House in ‘12. Bickering will NOT get it done.
November 9th, 2009 at 1:37 pm
The best part about the comments is that you don’t attack what his positions are but rather that there is a typo and then you have some criticize that he was asking for money like every other political leader and then you have some “MOLLY” who just makes some stuff up and tries to make that the issue. I agree with what he is doing trying to built support against gov’t healthcare.

Martha & The Vandellas – Dancing In The Street (NEW) Lyrics
Callin’ out around the world
Are you ready for a brand new beat?
Mike H is here and the time is right
For dancin’ in the streets
They’re dancin’ in IOWA
Next in South CAROLINA
Down in FLORIDA
All we need is music, sweet music
There’ll be music everywhere
There’ll be swingin’, BASS GUITAR
playin’ and VOTERS swayin’
And dancin’ in the streets !!!
November 9th, 2009 at 2:24 pm
“Ohio Joe, that’s my wife. : )
She loves Tim. (So do I, but Rubio makes a better ticket, imho.)” Haha, shhhhhh, my wife has probably become a soft Pawlentyite. If somebody else were to enter the top tier, she’s give them a look.
November 9th, 2009 at 2:36 pm
ogrepete, wow you say I was rebuked, but all I did was ask OhioJoe a question. Not to defend Huckabee, but simply out of curiousity because I know he is a huge Palin fan. But if you feel better going around rebuking posters for asking questions, more power to you.
Personally, I am not a big fan or donating to PAC’s. I would much rather donate to specific candidates so that I know my money is going to whom I want. So I have not donated to the NRSC, NRCC, or RNC since I donated to the 2008 election campaign because Palin was on the ticket. But I have gotten a few letters telling me that my membership was “PAST DUE” which prompted me to send them back an empty envelope explaining why they were getting no money from me. What a way to tick off a donor, by telling them their charitable contribution is past due.
I have donated to candidates outside of Texas who have stood up for the causes I believe in. I will continue to do that. And I will continue to donate to Huckpac, although I am saving my money to go “all in” for Huckabee when he runs in 2012.
November 9th, 2009 at 3:12 pm
“ogrepete, wow you say I was rebuked, but all I did was ask OhioJoe a question.” Yeah, that is true Texas. I guess it new math to rebuke yourself by asking a question. I would not worry too much about them Texas.
November 9th, 2009 at 6:14 pm
Mike Huckabee is the strongest Republican leader since the great Ronald Reagan.
Huckabee displays the same type of attributes that the great Ronald Reagan had in the early 80’s. Superior communicator with an extremelly Powerful Common Sense Message. It’s a message that resonates with the American voters. Huckabee can stir the masses with his great ability of communication. Only the likes of Reagan, Huckabee, Churchill and Lombardi could get the masses to rise to their feet with such resounding energy.
Don’t wait any longer, it’s time to jump on the Huckabee High Speed Train, this epic journey will be like no other experienced in the last century. The momentum is building, the energy is rising, Huckabee is becoming the Rock Star Icon of the Republican Party. The masses are starting to flood in to support his run against President Obama in 2012. Seventy One perecent off all Republicans want Huckabee as their Commander In Chief.
Check out the gigantic movement brewing across the American Heartlands, google the words: Huckabee Fan Club

Well it’s Rememberance Day, folks an while it is time to pay our respects to the military and Vets that fought for our freedom and died for it – we need to also need to be on guard that Pelosi may call the Democrat House to order and ram through some more unpopular Bills that the citizens of the USA don’t want!? This woman that calls herself a politician and House Speaker should have served in a Nazi concentration camp or for the KGB in Russia under the communist regieme before the Wall came down!
She most certainly doesn’t belong in America, she does not serve the people therefor the sooner the citizens vote her out of office along with our dictator Marxist Bilderberg, Trilateral Commission, CFR, IMF Elitist sympathizing President the better off all Americans will be! When was the it decided that America would accept being taken over by Off-Shore Foreign Globalist Bankers and the Rothschild’s interest? Never mind manipulating wars around the world – the American people need to have a war not against military, but the actual Elites who are mongering this capture of the freedom of the American people and all free nations in the world!
We want America back and it is time we start booting out our arrogant treasonous traitor politicians!
Take a look at what this political Mafia has planned for the Sovereign citizens in the world! link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VebOTc-7shU
