Oh, and if you doubt that Rubio knows how to play to the reasonable center, pay attention to his discussion of climate change starting around 24:50. Extremist indeed.
“Question, if Romney and Palin appeared on different days in, say, St. Louis Bush stadium, which one would appear before a sell-out crowd?”

Palin *is not* intellectual conservatism, and *is not* issues-oriented leadership. Romney isn’t perfect in those categories, and there’s plenty of other great Republican leaders besides him, but Palin is not one of them.
Palin’s conservatism-of-the-mob is incapable of real leadership.
Rubio’s intellectual conservatism, for that matter, is. Quite interesting really how he shied away from any notion of a “conservative purist movement” by noting the common-sense issues conservatives live on and center around. He’s certainly got McDonnell’s political sense.

Palin/Rubio ‘12! A sure winning team, and the future of the GOP!
November 9th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
I like Rubio but with how Crist is popular with the older people here I dont think he can pull it off like what will happen in other races.
November 9th, 2009 at 2:18 pm
I’ll try to watch tonight after the gremlins are in bed, but I already know that Rubio is terrifically smart.
November 9th, 2009 at 2:19 pm
He’s a career politician…
November 9th, 2009 at 2:21 pm
palin has next to no chance.
rubio will beat crist, go on to win the senate seat, and from there will be the likely vp nominee for romney, huckabee, pawlenty, or thune.

Molly,
Ron Paul’s second career is as a politician.
Just sayin’…………
November 9th, 2009 at 2:36 pm
i like Rubio a lot.
November 9th, 2009 at 2:46 pm
I’ve seen it. Wow!
November 9th, 2009 at 3:02 pm
Senator Marco Rubio
R-Florida
GET USED TO IT!
November 9th, 2009 at 3:39 pm
I hope Sarah endorses Rubio. that endorsment would be like Oprah when she endorsed obama over clintion.
November 9th, 2009 at 3:43 pm
Palin, and Rubio are the only 2 conservatives that have the charisma needed to beat obama.

Palin doesn’t even need to get involved for Rubio now. So no risk of those ready to trounce on Palin; she knows you’re out there.
Rubio’s now on a trajectory to win on his own!!!
And AFTER Rubio begins serving in the Senate, Palin will tag him for VP in the Palin/Rubio ‘12 ticket.
As far as Romney, hardy har har, he is sooooooooo yesterday as well as unliked and untrusted by the conservative base.
He has nooooo chance getting the nomination vis a vis Palin.
Question, if Romney and Palin appeared on different days in, say, St. Louis Bush stadium, which one would appear before a sell-out crowd?
November 9th, 2009 at 8:14 pm
he is going to destroy Crist in debates, it won’t be pretty
