I think Kris has been trapped in a time warp. Yesterday he was critiquing Rubio for stuff from a couple years ago. Kris then went on to post Bill Maher circa June, 2008. Now we’re learning about Johnson forming a PAC a few months ago.
It’s pretty quick progress, really. And on this trajectory, Kris will be reporting from the year 2012 by this December.
He was a good governor, but you don’t have to be solid on foreign policy to be a good governor. Not being a DefCon is a deal breaker for most Republicans, and if he runs Libertarian or third party, he will damage his own agenda by helping to re-elect Obama.
Please define DefCon. The current republican position on defense is the former LIBERAL position. No more nation building please. Bring our troops home as much as possible. Build a strong military that never needs to be used.
I like Gary, but he doesn’t have a chance in hell. He’ll be 2012’s version of ron paul, except that he will be Ron Paul “light”…not raise as much money and only garner about 1/2 of the support Paul had.
A DefCon is serious about protecting the interests of America, and is perceptive enough about the world to know that America has enemies, and to know that some of them are evil.

I totally disagree. He’s Ron Paul plus a measure of pragmatism, plus a solid record of successful governance, plus some affable charisma, minus the nutty tendencies, minus (I hope) some of the pandering on immigration. I think he’ll do better than Paul by a long shot, and be able to reach out to some of those who felt Paul was a trifle oddball. I can see Johnson really competing in NH and western states like Colorado, Nevada, etc.
Johnson didn’t form this PAC several months ago, it’s being launched within the next several days. Kristofer’s been way ahead of the curve on the Gary Johnson thing, and a lot of other stuff as well.

Gary Johnson for President?
Hell yeah!

#3: Ron Paul loves Gary Johnson more than you love Gary Johnson? That’s comforting to know, I guess…

Win: He might also do a bit better than RP if he says, without reservation, that he wants nothing to do with the Truthers.
But he still won’t come close.

I agree with Win.
Gov. Johnson is a superior candidate to Rep. Paul.
