Ouch.

Apparently, people don’t want her to play a major role in national politics, and won’t have her.
November 16th, 2009 at 9:39 pm
No way Palin should run in 2012…now she should play the game and let the media, who are being kind to her at the moment since she brings in $’s, pump sarah palin inc up + build up goodwill in the GOP for herself, which won’t happen if she run…bottom line, it would be downright insane of her to jump the gun and run in 2012…if she does want to run for presidnet, her plan should be the run for US senate in 2014, than run either in 2016 or 2020 depending on what happens in 2012 cycle.
November 16th, 2009 at 9:57 pm
This is more in line with the WaPo than Ras. For the GOP to only be 43/39 on being an effective president is pretty damaging.
November 16th, 2009 at 10:21 pm
polls are meaningless 3 years out. president giuliani anyone? obama was 20 points down in iowa until 2 weeks before the caucuses. 3+ years is a long time.
a gop primary would take close to two years, encompass hundreds of speeches, town halls, interviews, 15 or so national debates, and countless sunday show appearances. if she runs that gauntlet and wins, she will be a very different candidate in 2012 then in 2008. if she doesn’t, it will be someone else. the palin of 08 wont be the nominee in 2012, but perhaps a new improved palin, or someone else entirely.

About the prank Sarkozy call, this from Sarah:
“Right away, the phones started ringing,” Palin writes in the excerpt. “One of the first calls was Schmidt, and the force of his screaming blew my hair back. ‘How can anyone be so stupid?! Why would the president of France call a vice presidential candidate a few days out?!’”
First, at least 2 people dispute the story about Schmidt, and 2nd, really Sarah? It blew your hair back?
I wouldn’t blame Schmidt if he did yell, though. It was incredibly obvious from the first question through the entire 6 minutes where Palin eventually had to be told it was a prank. I think the first thing the fake Sarkozy said was “I think you’re hot!”

Did she really say this?
“If any vegans came over for dinner, I could whip them up a salad, then explain my philosophy on being a carnivore: If God had not intended for us to eat animals, how come He made them out of meat?”
The accommodating host went on to explain, “I love meat. I eat pork chops, thick bacon burgers, and the seared fatty edges of a medium-well-done steak. But I especially love moose and caribou. I always remind people from outside our state that there’s plenty of room for all Alaska’s animals — right next to the mashed potatoes.”
Incredibly confrontational about meat? Sheesh.

Martha, to be honest that really doesn’t sound much like Palin. A DailyKos impersonator of Palin, perhaps
I don’t know why she mentioned that she actually was duped into thinking some prank caller was Sarkozy, though. I mean, stuff like that it’s usually best just to cut your losses and tacitly step away from.

I knew there was a reason I personally liked Mrs. Palin. I’m going with Romney but if Sarah wins the nod, I may actually be able to breathe while I cast my vote against Obama. At least if she keeps up with quotes like this.

I love the fact that Governor Palin refused to put an index in her book. This is going to make the liberal media’s blood boil. The Democrats are scared of Governor Palin.
November 16th, 2009 at 11:51 pm
That’s it Sarah….bring everybody together………Sarah’s next book…….”How to Loss Friends and Insult People”……..I see another far right book orgy coming up…

*Yawn*
This must be part 667,815 in Aron’s famed series “Get Shawty.”

-”I love the fact that Governor Palin refused to put an index in her book. This is going to make the liberal media’s blood boil. The Democrats are scared of Governor Palin.”
They are about as scared of Palin as we are of Joe Biden, Pruce.
From the fake call:
Fake Sarkozy said PM of Quebec!?! Quebec? I think missteps are obvious but really, Palin does not know much about the world at all. Again, nice lady, but not Presidential material, let’s keep the drama off of the national stage please.
November 17th, 2009 at 12:07 am
A special gift for Aron. All his favorite shawties: Michelle, Sarah, Katie, all crooning– what more could a fella want?
(Okay, it’s a hand-me-down. Psht! He won’t notice…)

I had a realization today. Given President Obama and what he’s trying to do to our country, and given how mad Republicans are and how determined they are to oust him, GOP primary voters are going to place an even greater emphasis on one thing they always prioritize: how well each candidate does in head-to-head polling against Obama.
This is the real reason Palin won’t get the nomination.
It is also, sadly, the reason Huckabee probably will.
November 17th, 2009 at 12:22 am
17 – I agree and in 2 years, I believe Palin will be neck-and-neck in head-to-head polling with Obama. Or maybe not.
November 17th, 2009 at 12:53 am
“I believe Palin will be neck-and-neck in head-to-head polling with Obama. Or maybe not.”
That does cover all the bases, doesn’t it?
November 17th, 2009 at 1:42 am
The book was written, published, and in book stores in four months. That’s why her book doesn’t have an index and that’s why the chapters are 43 pages long. The reason for not having an index was not to drive the press crazy.
November 17th, 2009 at 8:45 am
17, my friend – “It is also, JOYFULLY, the reason Huckabee probably will.”
There! I fixed it for you…
Pleas knock off the pettiness and win back the White House. Mike and/or Tim will be our best shots, imho. : )

One more thing -
America NEEDS Sarah’s help, too.
We will love her support of Mike and Tim
Sarah Palin for Secretary of Energy!!!!
(Mitt = Secretary of
TARP/RomneyCare… NOT!!!!)
