If this week has proven anything it’s that Sarah can run all she wants but she is not a serious contender for President in this lifetime.
So much for all the policy she was going to talk about this week!
Big resurection lol.

Louisville is located in Jefferson County, a county won by both Kerry and Obama.
It’s pretty stunning to me that her net favorables are equal to that of Obama considering he won 56% of the vote in the county and probably well over60% in the city of Louisville.
I’m pretty stunned to see how well she is holding up against Romney in a city that is probably more moderate in terms of its Republican than national Republicans.

Where are the missing 27 % of voters if there are only 4 choices ???
November 17th, 2009 at 7:25 am
For president, they’re voting present.
November 17th, 2009 at 7:37 am
What is stunning is the wild contradictions in this poll. On one hand Palin is only 6 percentage points behind Huckabee on the best president question, and on the other more than half of men and woman don’t want her to run—-go figure. I guess the jury is still out on Palin.
November 17th, 2009 at 7:49 am
“Where are the missing 27 % of voters if there are only 4 choices ???” Haha, ever heard of none of the above or other?
November 17th, 2009 at 7:57 am
Talk about Palin Palooza. This is nuts. Can we get on with life now? Obama is getting such a pass while Miss Sarah holds the political world hostage.
It’s painful to watch, and she doesn’t even have the good sense to know it.
November 17th, 2009 at 8:02 am
Ohiojoe,
Yes, Ive heard of that. It is usually listed in the results as ” none of the above / Other”……27 %
November 17th, 2009 at 8:05 am
For instance, was it a coincidence that Holder announced that the 9/11 terrorists are to be tried in NY almost on the same day that Palin comes back full force? The Obama administration knew what a circus all the Palin stuff would be.
We should be demanding that Obama take responsibility for the decision, and revisit it. Instead, we’re beating the dead horse over whether Palin should run.
November 17th, 2009 at 8:15 am
Why do the polls only mention the usual 4 Republicians? They all seem so tired to me. We need a new face, who can it be?
November 17th, 2009 at 8:15 am
In 2012, Republicans have to nominate a solid conservative who is not in the camp of the talk radio faction of the party. Palin is firmly within that camp and Huckabee is getting dangerously close, although I suspect once he does officially run he will have to leave his show on Fox like Pat Buchanan left Crossfire during his campaigns.
Romney is looking strong right now, but I would not be suprised to see someone we haven’t thought of or talked about be the nominee when all is said and done.
November 17th, 2009 at 8:17 am
“We should be demanding that Obama take responsibility for the decision, and revisit it. Instead, we’re beating the dead horse over whether Palin should run.” So we cannot walk and chew gum at the same time? There is nothing wrong with discussing both Mr. Obama and Mrs. Palin at the same time. You had better learn to live with Palinism in the political spectrum Martha, because whether not Mrs. Palin runs for President or not, we Palinites will be a force to be reckoned with both in the party and the country at large.
As for none of the above versus Other, maybe those 27% have not decided yet who to vote for.
November 17th, 2009 at 8:26 am
Way to go, Mike again!
November 17th, 2009 at 8:35 am
OJ,
I don’t think “Palinism in the political spectrum” is doing the GOP, conservatives, or America much good.
The MSM/Democrats are doing everything they can to label us the party of Palin. That’s what this is all about, and it has been from day one – last Sept. They are largely succeeding, and they are doing so because no one in our party has the guts to come out and say that Palin is flat out unqualified to lead, and unstable to boot.
I would love to see our national GOP leaders stop pandering about Palin. I’m sorry, we just can’t afford nice right now. Palin could very well sneak into the nomination, and then we’d have no shot whatsoeve to unseat Obama.
November 17th, 2009 at 8:41 am
“I don’t think “Palinism in the political spectrum” is doing the GOP, conservatives, or America much good. ” You just do not just Palinism because it helps keep the loose cannons in line.
November 17th, 2009 at 8:46 am
“I don’t think “Palinism in the political spectrum” is doing the GOP, conservatives, or America much good.”
Martha I agree completly. Going further, Palin is of part of the extreme faction including Limbaugh/Beck/Bachman who are trying to take control of the party and the mainstream media is perfectly willing to help them become the face and voice of the GOP.
The GOP is at a fork in the road. Follow the extremists into another election defeat, or follow the path that lead us to victory in 1980 against another inept Democrat president.

Mitt =
TARP/RomneyCare…
November 17th, 2009 at 8:57 am
# Huckabee/Pawlenty or Pawlenty/Huckabee Says:
Mitt =
TARP/RomneyCare…
Yea, right, and the moon is made of green cheese. Don’t look now, but Huckabee is way behind in the big states with the majority of the delegates. Leading small states don’t help much if you lose the big ones.
November 17th, 2009 at 9:13 am
lol – So Mitt’s can win some BLUE states… big deal. We want to win the ELECTION!
November 17th, 2009 at 9:16 am
Ohio Joe, I still have no idea what Palinism even is unless it’s akin to ‘open mouth, insert foot’.
November 17th, 2009 at 9:20 am
“lol – So Mitt’s can win some BLUE states… big deal. We want to win the ELECTION!”
…which are going to require you to win “some BLUE states”.
I’m socially conservative to the core, but carrying the Bible Belt isn’t enough to put you in the White House.
In any case – good news for Mitt this AM, but what exactly is the purpose of polling CITIES?
November 17th, 2009 at 9:21 am
Again Mitt’s problems only begin with TARP/RomneyCare. Which is a bad place to begin… Unpopularity in the South for Mr. Romney is H U G E !
Mike will win BIG in Iowa and South Carolina…
Florida will nail it down for Mr. Huckabee. Mr. Pawlenty will battle it out for 2nd with the Mitt the Flipster.
November 17th, 2009 at 9:23 am
Mike will bring back and win the SAME RED STATES as President Bush did.
Done. Bye bye Obama!!!!!
November 17th, 2009 at 9:24 am
This is the first time I have seen Romney trading below anyone on intrade. Pawlenty is tops with 22.5, Romney 22, and Palin 20.3. They are even asking more for Pawlenty.
I have thought all along that Romney would lose voters to Pawlenty, as many voters would feel more comfortable with Pawlenty’s consistency on the issues.
November 17th, 2009 at 9:29 am
And what planet do you live on. Huckabee doesn’t sell well in Florida.
2008 results, Huckabee in a distant 4th.
John McCain 701,761 36% 45 57
Mitt Romney 604,932 31.03% 18 0
Rudy Giuliani 286,089 14.68% 0 0
Mike Huckabee 262,681 13.47% 4 0
November 17th, 2009 at 9:31 am
And mike will lose all the red states in the west, where they can’t stand him. If Huckabee is the
Nominee, look for Obama to get re-eletected. Huckabee only does well in the bible belt.
November 17th, 2009 at 9:31 am
“Ohio Joe, I still have no idea what Palinism even is unless it’s akin to ‘open mouth, insert foot’.
” I think the loose cannons in your camp do a good job at foot in mouth or when in a hole, dig deeper.
November 17th, 2009 at 9:33 am
“And mike will lose all the red states in the west, where they can’t stand him. If Huckabee is the
Nominee, look for Obama to get re-eletected. Huckabee only does well in the bible belt.”
Sing your song to PPP.
November 17th, 2009 at 9:38 am
Ohio Joe, we may have some loose cannon supporters, but they are not the candidate!! Big difference!!!!
November 17th, 2009 at 9:42 am
So far she is doing pretty well on this book tour. Two solid interviews behind her.
November 17th, 2009 at 9:43 am
“Ohio Joe, we may have some loose cannon supporters, but they are not the candidate!! Big difference!!!!
” A handfull full of loose cannons are OK, but when a whole wing of a camp is like that, the wholw camp is held hostage.
November 17th, 2009 at 9:44 am
“So far she is doing pretty well on this book tour. Two solid interviews behind her.”
Shhhh, they are only interest in interviews that are not good. Let them keep their heads in the sand.
November 17th, 2009 at 10:03 am
It depends on what you mean by solid interviews. Sure, Palin attracts some attention because she is a very interesting person. The MSM capitalizes on it, by doing the 24/7 ‘Palin is the new GOP’ thing.
The question is whether the inteviews and the book will give her any new credibility as a national leader. I doubt very much that will happen.
Anyone looking at these inteviews as remotely serious are propably the people who can be categorized as cult followers. If not that, then at least the ones who are going to love the heck out of Palin no matter what she does. They don’t seem to be even willing to admit that Palin appears vindictive and petty in the book, and on Oprah yesterday.
What was the point of calling Couric perky, and Levi Ricky Hollywood? She didn’t need to do that, and it shows she’s not ready to be a grown-up leader.
November 17th, 2009 at 10:06 am
16. Eric,
I also completely agree with you. We’ve got to get serious, or say hello to 8 years of Obama. As it is, even with the best candidate, he’s going to be hard to beat. Palin isn’t the one to try.
November 17th, 2009 at 10:21 am
33 – Martha, you bring up some interesting points…valid points. You ask “whether the interviews or the book will give her any new credibility as a national leader?” Valid question. I don’t think that is the purpose of this book tour. I believe this tour is about getting independents and average, everyday Americans to not believe all the stories about her as Gospel. That’s why this book’s release date was pushed forward. Get this out of the way, introduce some policy philosophy…like she has done on FACEBOOK and most recently on SARAHPAC and then move into the 2010 elections. Meanwhile I believe she will write a manifest that involves a commonsense approach to the problems our nation is facing.
November 17th, 2009 at 10:29 am
Clearly this poll was scewered by the dems saying they like Huck better. Do they really? Not a chance, they just want Huck as the nominee so they say they prefer him in the polls. They know a sitting duck when they see one.
November 17th, 2009 at 10:30 am
33 – I also would like to address your comments about Palin being vindictive or petty during the Oprah interview. That was a 40 minute interview and you mention two moments where she seemed vindictive or petty. I disagree that she was being either vindictive or petty, but even if she was, two instances can hardly characterize the entire interview, especially for the length of it. In reality, Palin attempted to not even talk about it but Oprah kept asking…so she made a little joke…not a big deal. The Couric, perky comment was, I thought, kind of funny. Katie Couric is perky.
November 17th, 2009 at 10:32 am
This poll is silly anyway. It was taken over the course of one day…one whole day. It consisted of 500 adults…not likely voters just adults. Meaningless. I would like to see her numbers start to go up a little bit though. There’s plenty of time.
November 17th, 2009 at 10:34 am

Hcukabee= Raising taxes like a liberal and pardoning rapists who then raped AND murdered again. You Baptist minister is no Saint.
November 17th, 2009 at 10:43 am
33, hey, hey now Martha, can we please just stop with the drama! We all know that Palin isn’t into the drama, so let’s just stop it.
November 17th, 2009 at 10:55 am
The most amusing parts of Palin’s appearance on Oprah yesterday were when she complained that Katie wouldn’t allow her gaffes to go unchecked; and when Sarah said she wasn’t prepared for the interview with Couric because she was expecting a light-hearted discussion between ‘working moms’.
November 17th, 2009 at 11:07 am
41. That was funny and quite revealing.
November 17th, 2009 at 11:08 am
40 Dan,
Who would have guessed that Palin is not into the drama?
November 17th, 2009 at 11:09 am
Palin’s book is indeed petty. It’s all about getting even with the McCain camp. No substance either in the book, or how to move the country forward. If this is her big comeback she’ll have to try again, but by then it may be to late.
November 17th, 2009 at 11:19 am
But, but Len, Rush said that this book was the most substantive that he had read in a long time (or some such nonsense). I guess Rush must be reading a lot of Dr. Seuss.
November 17th, 2009 at 11:28 am
44 – Len, have you read the book?
November 17th, 2009 at 11:29 am
No, she spends maybe eleven pages out of 400+ pages, on this, she talks about oil policy, among other things. She was right about him with regards to Gitmo, victory
in Afghanistan and Iraq, we see how unpopular the first policy has been, people have doubts about
the second, because we see his vacilation. It is her love of her family, her state, and her country
that drives her, including if she
decides to run for President. Focus people, on the important things

One used to feel for Levi, now contempt is the only proper emotion
November 17th, 2009 at 2:23 pm
Huckabee can’t perform well in the NE or West, and Romney is a loser in the South. Whoever can best build up strong national appeal like McCain had in ‘08 (he won primaries everywhere, not just in states that were like Arizona) is clearly going to come out on top, mature significantly as a candidate, and only a small fraction of a percent of angry Mormons or evangelicals won’t support the other. Pawlenty of course is in the running if the two former rivals don’t show any good momentum.
In the meantime, we have to deal with Palin, Levi Johnston, Obama, and the vulgarization of our politics
November 17th, 2009 at 3:27 pm
#39, you really don’t know the facts do you? That is just a lie. Huckabee did not pardon the one to whom you are referring. He denied the pardon. The previous Governor made him parole eligible and the parole board appointed by the previous governors are the ones who paroled him. You can believe the attack ads but the facts aren’t there to support your claim.
November 17th, 2009 at 4:54 pm
1. Palin’s big policy interview will be Bill O reilly.
2. Palin’s Favorables will be at a solid 51%/43% by the end of this book tour.
3. Palin’s book is NOT just a “payback book” thats what the media wants you to think. Read the book before you make judgements.
