All very nice, but also all very early.
November 17th, 2009 at 1:38 am
That’s really pathetic — that New York Republicans respect Obama more than Palin.
Listen, Palin’s hardly worthy of role model status, but it’s a question with imperfect alternatives. And one is clearly less imperfect.

Go cry in your beer AK
.
New York is one of the biggest primaries of them all and Mitt has got a lock on it!
As he does with California, and Texas unless Perry is still in the race.
Life is good.
ps great cross over appeal there for the General too!
November 17th, 2009 at 6:34 am
Mitt only leads Huck by 9 in NY????????????
November 17th, 2009 at 6:55 am
Yeah it would be great to have another nominee who can win a blue state primary but not any red state ones. That always helps us when the general comes around.
November 17th, 2009 at 6:57 am
Where are the missing 33 % of voters if there are only 4 choices ????
November 17th, 2009 at 7:33 am
And Huck only leads Mitt by 3 in Louisville, whats your point.
November 17th, 2009 at 7:42 am
I do not vote on “popularity” or “For who the media hates” I do not like Huck (or green eggs and ham) but give the man his due -He has consistently been on top with these polls. What ever that means this early.
November 17th, 2009 at 8:30 am
Mike gaining traction in NY, too!!!!!!!
November 17th, 2009 at 8:59 am
and losing traction in Kentucky. Only up by 3. He should be way ahead there.
November 17th, 2009 at 9:02 am
“and losing traction in Kentucky. Only up by 3. He should be way ahead there.” But this is just Jefferson county Kentucky, not the whole state of Kentucky.
November 17th, 2009 at 9:02 am
In order for Huckabee to catch Romney in NY, he would have to increase is level of support by 50%, I don’t consider that having traction at all.
November 17th, 2009 at 9:04 am
But it represents a 1/4 or the population of Kentucky.
November 17th, 2009 at 9:20 am
It looks as if the New Yorkers aren’t very happy about the outsiders intervening and giving a seat to the Democrats.
November 17th, 2009 at 9:25 am
Sarah Palin – the absolute worst choice we could make as a party would be to nominate this woman. We actually have a fighting chance (as it looks right now) in 2012….please people, just look at her unfavorable numbers. For those of you new to polling, fav/unfav and generic ballot are often the best indicators of what the voters will do once inside the both. Case and point – Christie won NJ b/c of Corzine’s high unfavorables, not because Christie was the “obvious choice”.
While it’s still early, I think the clear options as of now would be mitt, huck, and t-paw.
November 17th, 2009 at 9:26 am
“It looks as if the New Yorkers aren’t very happy about the outsiders intervening and giving a seat to the Democrats.
” Boy some people like to spin this. Not every New Yorker lives in the 23rd district for starters.
November 17th, 2009 at 9:34 am
T-Paw as a long ways to go, as he is in the single digits as of now. Of course it is still early, but I would anticipate this becoming a race between Romney and Huckabee.
November 17th, 2009 at 9:45 am
Thunder,
Mitt consistently did better than Huck in urban areas, Huck much better in rural areas. Look at Georgia. Mitt won Atlanta 41-16 over Huck, but Huck clobbered him in the rest of the state. Mitt only being up 3 in Louisville indicates to me that he has lost a lot of ground to Huck, and would get pasted in a statewide poll.
November 17th, 2009 at 10:42 am
I don’t minds Mitt coming out in the lead in an occasional poll, but would have some concern if he is leading in all the polls, as was the case at the beginning of the year. I hope he can avoid overexposure in order to avoid becoming stale and boring.

Boy, you are never going to say anything good about Romney are you?? It doesn’t matter how positive the tide swings in Mitt’s direction, you’re going to spin it otherwise.
Oh wait, it’s MY fault you hate Mitt.

The point is “anti-Romney” all day. Nothing substantial.
November 17th, 2009 at 10:49 am
19 – “I hope he can avoid overexposure in order to avoid becoming stale and boring.” Too late, Romney became stale and boring back in 2007.
November 17th, 2009 at 10:59 am
A poll of adults, and a 33% Democratic advantage, when has that ever been true.

You speak from one insignificant man’s perspective. Your emotional slandering is but a shadow. If Mitt was stale and boring then, why is he in the lead in this poll and doing very well in all others? Try to make sense when you speak.
November 17th, 2009 at 11:37 am
24 – Romney did better in this poll with Democrats and Independents than he did with Republicans?
The funny thing is this Competent, you can call me “one insignificant man” and I can call you an ugly human being and just as insignificant as I am. The difference between the two of us is that my insignificance doesn’t hurt me to the core as yours does. Maybe someday, somebody will read your little blog and buy into your little pyramid nutritional scheme and you can have a say in things that matter but until that day comes you have an ugly, insignificant soul…
November 17th, 2009 at 11:39 am
Romney did better with Democrats than he did with Republicans or Independents. If these are the numbers you are so proud of, then it will be a lonely 2012 Republican Naional Convention.

Read everything you just said in an honest introspective approach, then tell me again I am an “ugly soul”. I called you opinion insignificant based on the facts that it doesn’t coincide with the polls and you respond by calling me an “ugly soul”?? Enough said.

Mr. Beautiful soul, I am not basing anything on this particular poll. I am basing them on all the most recent polls that show Mitt just behind Huck. He’s not doing bad enough for him to have been stale in 2007. By the way, I am an insignificant man on my own. That is what I meant when I used the word “insignificant.” And just going back and reading it I misplaced the 2 words. Should have read “one man’s insignificant” perspective.
Not that you are insignificant, but your view is being that is doesn’t coincide with the latest polling. Rather it is the byproduct of an emotional soul.
November 17th, 2009 at 12:02 pm
Actually competent, your comment was this: “You speak from one insignificant man’s perspective.” You followed it with this gem: “Your emotional slandering is but a shadow.” My emotional slandering? Then you end your comment with this: “Try to make sense when you speak.” This isn’t the first time you have decided to verbally abuse one’s opinion on this site. I think I have been targeted by your infantile quasi-intellectualism in the past and chose to turn the other cheek. Today I chose to call you out for what you are…

You can’t make a slandering comment and expect to not have a comment of the same nature returned to you. The last time, before yesterday, that I have commented on this site was about 3 months ago, and before then it was maybe about once per week.
I admit, I do get very impatient with the frivilous statements folks like yourself make about Mitt. This is not a time to be slandering Republican candidates when we have Obama on the loose. Obama is suppose to be the biggest uniter of our party.

“I admit, I do get very impatient with the frivilous statements folks like yourself make about Mitt. ” Ha, so we non-Romneyites much be patient with frivilous statements made about our candidates? Funny!

“Ha, so we non-Romneyites much be patient with frivilous statements made about our candidates?”
I never indicated that. Where in what I said are you gathering that conclusion?
Yes, it is time indeed to stop bashing other candidates. Even Huck has my respect enough lay things aside. We do need to stop all the infighting and I have been, in the past, as guilty as the anyone.
November 17th, 2009 at 1:04 pm

Well, maybe not as guilty as anyone…I can say honestly. But we all need to stop. Romney, Huckabee, palin Pawlenty, whoever are nothing like what the left is offering and that makes them all good and decent individuals in my book.
