Looks like Meg Whitman’s at least got a fighting chance.

Whitman 2012

I just have a hard time believing that too many Californians are hankering to see Brown in the governor’s mansion… again. I mean, geez, the guy’s a fossil.

Looks good, but the only thing I worry about this race: Dianne Feinstein. If she decides to run, Meg has no chance.

I’ve met Meg and wasn’t impressed. Made me feel like I had met a politician and not a person. That said, I would rather have her than Brown who is a crook because he uses his position as AG as a political weapon.

It is interesting to note that Jerry Brown can not get to 50 percent or over in all 4 possible match – ups.
it would be interesting if somebody could come up with an explenation except that Brown is a dinosaur.

The fact that any Republican can be remotely competitive in the 3rd or 4th bluest state in the country after the job the Govenator did, is extraordinary, and tells me that a nationwide anti-Democrat sentiment is coming to a boiling point.

A victory by Whitman will be a real boost for Romney on the left coast!
November 20th, 2009 at 11:10 am
Whitman will win, Jerry Brown is ACORN boy.
November 20th, 2009 at 11:20 am
Whitman has to win. The California legislature is insane. Brown is just another clown in this absurb circus we have in Sacramento.
November 20th, 2009 at 11:22 am
#11 – absurb = absurd

With Romney living in CA these days maybe Meg drafts Romney to help her tackle the financial mess in CA. If he is successful, Meg endorses him for 2012 and touts his help in turning around CA which he campaings on to clean up Obama’s mess.
could happen….

This is suprising but it should be noted that Whitman is ALREADY running campaign ads even though the Primary is 7 1/2 months away. I’d hate to see Jerry “Scrat” Brown (he’s always protecting Acorns) win, but I’d ALSO hate for the party to nominate another
all-talk-no-action statist win the GOP nomination, and I’m not convinced Whitman will be any different than Arnie at this point, so I’m still leaning towards Tom Campbell.

Whitman seems to be quite a bit more pragmatic than Arnold, though. She’d work to close that deficit, that’s for sure. And at this point anyone that can achieve that will be a hero for the state.
